So he’s going to check on his family he doesn’t know about as Vader? The storm troopers roasted them but Vader cares about Beru and Owen? Lol the desperate cop is incredible.

They're also loosely his family. They don't even have the same last name.
He doesn't know about them until he has the visions of Shmi dying and he goes back to find she's been freed and married.

How do you know he doesn’t know Anakin’s name? Because they don’t explicitly have him ask? Or because he never says it?
I think he knew his father’s name I think being Luke’s age and never getting that kind of answer about your father seems insane. Also Luke never even asks about his mother. does he know anything about her?
Also, for a plan that relies almost entirely on Luke staying on Tatooine, why the frick would you tell him his father was a pilot? can you think of anything that would make a kid want to be a pilot more.

Also, Anakin had only ever met Owen once before becoming Vader, according to canon.
Why would he care about a stepbrother he never knew?

They’re irrelevant to him but Sammy thinks they should be doing Sunday dinner at Owen’s house every week lol.

Don’t be obtuse. Star Wars fans are annoyed that a gay activist show runner is putting 21st century American social messaging in a show about space wizards. If the show were helmed by a Trump person, would it be a little off putting if you have some Trump stand in say let’s make the Jedi great again? Or maybe we could get a pro life showrunner to talk about how Force babies are Jedi at the moment of conception. This is ham fisted and lame. Just because it fits your world view doesn’t make it good writing.

They basically don’t exist to him.

At this point the only mystery to me is how they all end up dying.
I fricking LOL’d when they showed them all sprawled out and dead with no obvious cause of death.

These are the trails you’re pulled down when discussing this universe with someone who knows nothing about it.

in a universe full of people, they picked the only family with any connection to the man they’re hiding a kid from.
Any connection to any kind.
Why would you name him Skywalker at all? Who does that benefit? It literally only makes the plan worse.
why is leia adopted full fledge and luke gets his entire actual backstory.

Accept it? Thats what happened and if you actually watched this stuff you’d know that. Name the fake plot holes you’ve dishonestly invented?
oh now its “that’s what happened don’t question the writing”
it’s such a clearly retconned storyline that we all accept but y'all shite your pants if anything conflicts with the prequels.
literally people crying about the age of a jedi who was only ever given an age in like a companion book written by some star wars intern.

Because Obi-Wan is there to protect him and at least they’d care for him. Again you continue to act as if anyone knows they exist when nobody does. You're rewriting the show in your head to force a point that doesn’t exist.
Posted on 6/19/24 at 12:25 pm to SammyTiger
Another straw man. Nobody said it happened so it’s good. What was said was that you’re misrepresenting what happened in the show so you’re arguing about something that doesn’t exist in universe.

People are "crying" about jedi age because age is a major thing for the Jedi.
The Council specifically tells Qui-Gon that Anakin is too old and has too many emotional attachments.
Ki-Adi Mundi senses him missing Shmi. Yoda senses his fear. Qui-Gon threatens to ignore the Jedi over their refusal to train him.
If you're talking about Mundi's age, it matters because he wouldn't be alive during this time but they had to 'member berries us.

it’s still a bad plan.
it’s the kind of plan you’d come up with only if you were locked into facts by the first movie

Catching up on this thread, it seems the shills are trying to tear down the OT to make this show less terrible in comparison. I have no problem admitting the retconning Lucas did made for some awkwardness in the SW lore. WTF does that have to with a show 40+ years later that is lame? Rather than tighten things up, they just freaking throw in a character from the Clone War era who shouldn’t be alive. This is like making Douglas MacArthur in a Civil War show. The Jedi are all stupid, the protagonist is lame af, the backstory is just uninteresting. The only mystery at this point; is how they are going to turn the bad twin good and make the power of the force babies save the day.

They’re desperate and when they get desperate this is what they do.

I love the OT. ignore the issues not because I believe shitty explanations but because I can accept the cha he’s make it a better story.

Sure buddy whatever helps you cope

You can drop the act dude. Nobody’s going for it, we’ve seen it too many times.
