Ehh, at least its unique. That was an absolute lock, so they may as well have made it creative.

Gravity had good effects and that's it. That movie was boring on every level once it was the Sandra Bullock show at the 45 min mark.

I think 12 years takes it but Gravity is clearly the best achievement in film

The award isn't for best achievement, if it was then gravity should win

But it's not the best movie this year

How has Ellen been good?

The pizza delivery think was awkward and humorless as well as the Wizard of Oz dress thing.

I just really, really have to disagree with you.

I only saw 4 of the Best Picture nominees (Gravity, Wolf of Wall St., Her, and Dallas Buyers Club), and Gravity was definitely the best of those.

I like Gravity and 12 Years a lot but I think many of the other nominees are stronger. I would pick Gravity over 12 Years though.

While Ellen has been hit and miss tonight, I feel like she is winning basically by not blowing it.

I have laughed a few times tonight.

I am hoping for Her to get Best Original Screenplay though. It's criminal that Phoenix wasn't nominated for Best Actor.

Probably. Very dialogue-driven.

Independent dramas are my genre of choice, so Her, 12 Years, Nebraska, Mud, Inside Lwelyn Davis are all superior to Gravity, Wolf and Hustle .. at least for me.

Gravity was a terrible movie. Just terrible.

I went in excited about it because of the hype but it just sucked.

There is nothing about it that is good other than visual effects.

Most over-rated movie ever.
