Yet you’re cool with the Dark Knight being #3 ?

just can't take anyone's opinion seriously that thinks The Social Network is a better film than No Country. Or, other films like Moon, that don't make these lists.

I bet you could get easily find lists like this that include both the social network and no country, 2 of the most praised and acclaimed films of the past 20 years, in a top 10.

You might be on an island with Moon though.

I still think The Prestige is criminally low at #66.

I think it is in contention for the best movie of the last 20 years.

Incredibly well-made, great acting, great story and despite knowing all the reveals - incredibly rewatchable.

I think No Country is better, one of my favorites of all time, but I also though Social Network is great. No problem with it being in a top 10

Maybe because I am older but this list tells me the overall quality of movies this century is pitiful.

Using some list created by a website is an awful way to determine the quality of movies in a given time period

I don't frequent this board much but after reading the comments, do people really believe Mad Max is the best movie of the last 20 years? I liked it but I just don't think it was anything near special as a movie.

I wouldn't use an Empire list as your barometer.

Some that come to mind [in no particular order]: No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Children of Men, The Departed, The Social Network, Inception, Ex Machina, Whiplash, Zero Dark Thirty, Inglourious Basterds

1. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
When you start here, it is hard to take seriously anything on the list.

It is a MILDLY entertaining film that MIGHT have a place in the lower half of a Top 100 list.

True indie films always have a struggle. It gets better every time, though.

I also agree on things like The Prestige - way better than many of the 65 films listed above it on this list.

Gladiator, Up, and Coco all should be much lower. Was Toy Story 3 and Finding Nemo not on the list? Also, I'm surprised with the popularity that none of the Harry Potter movies made the list unless I overlooked it. As for adult movies like Gladiator, I wish Donnie Darko was lower as well.

The Social Network doesn’t belong on the list. It’s a non accurate quasi documentary on a shitty company and a shitty person. Just because the topic is on the most impactful platform of our time doesn’t mean the movie about it is worth a frick. Marvel movies don’t deserve to be on a top 100 list. CGi bullshite.

The movie being about Facebook had very little to do with why I thought it was a good movie

What is that supposed to mean? I like a movie you don’t makes me immature? It’s a fricking drama not a comic book movie
