I love Adam Sandler but you have to admit; all his truly great movies are at least 10 years old. I'll admit I actually enjoyed 50 first dates, Click, ect... But they don't hold a candle to Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy.
I also think Little Nicky is hilarious and I enjoyed Mr. Deeds as well, but they are pretty old

Eta: Eight Crazy Nights is awesome

When did Sandler stop including his non-famous buddies in his films (qb in Waterboy, homeless guy in Happy Gilmore, etc)?

They are still in every Happy Madison production

How does this make less than Jack and Jill? I guess because of the R rating which means he's going to go back to making family comedies that are a sure thing.

Lazy parents will pay to see anything that shuts their kid up for 2 hours.

Absurd and not funny.

Almost watchable, at best.

I'm honestly trying to think of a single Sandler movie I can say is "good" without qualification. I guess "Punch Drunk Love" (not really a "Sandler movie in the strictest sense, "The Wedding Singer" and "Spanglish" (yeah, I know) come the closest, imo.

I hear ya. I'm 26 with a low IQ

Nothing wrong with hating dumb comedies. what comedies did you really like around that time period (90's)?

I really liked Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, especially The Wedding Singer. Even enjoyed Waterboy. I'm not at all a Adam Sandler defender though. Looks like since Big Daddy in 2002 I haven't watched 23 of his last 25 movies because of how terrible they've looked.

I'm sure you don't have a low I.Q. Or at least I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Man, I hate making lists and I'm sure I'll leave something out. But just thinking out loud, I'd say (in no particular order). . .

The Big Lebowski
Dazed and Confused
Rushmore
Clueless
Kingpin
Groundhog Day
There's Something About Mary

Just because the movie is stupid funny doesn't mean only stupid people like them

Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Waterboy, Big Daddy are all very funny movies. No they aren't going to make you think or make some statement about civilization, but that doesn't mean they aren't good movies, they are funny and entertaining.
