Loved the movie. Worthy sequel to the first two as Cameron said for sure. Can't believe critics are giving it so much hate.

Critics like artsy film. Complicated Sci Fi stuff hurts their brains. They just want to see "A robot chasing a girl." As Roger Ebert said.

But frick them, new age, new critics.

finally saw it yesterday. It was a lot better than I thought it'd be. However, I am still pissed that they spoiled the movie in the trailers.

John Conner coming back upset me. I would of rather they sent the Dr. Who guy back and he actually tried to stop Pops and Sarah. This was the only terminator where you never thought the bad guy was going to win.

The marketing for this movie gave way too much away.

They were beyond stupid for showing the Connorater.

Looks like this one will flop too, opened in third place.

(though JW is on fire still)

Even the official posters spoil the movie:

but yeah, the movie had no tension. I never felt that John even wanted to kill Sarah or Kyle or if him killing them would mean he wouldn't exist...

So the time travelers are now:
1973-T1000
1973-Pops
1984-Kyle
1984-Second T1000 (or did they never kill the first?)
2014-Connorater
2017-Kyle
2017-Sarah

Also, who sent Pops back to 1973? In this timeline only Kyle and Sarah would know about it...but we don't even know if Kyle and Sarah still have John since the conception would be different(or still want John seeing what he becomes). I heard a theory that Pops sent his 'younger' self back while waiting for Sarah in 2017 or that John did it to try to keep Skynet from killing her so that he could still be the leader of the new Skynet.

[]Are they making any more predator movies? wish they would[/]

A new Predator movie is in the works and Shane Black(Hawkins) will be writing and directing

It wasn't a 26% but frick this movie because we're still spinning wheels instead of telling the original story. Maybe we can finally end this war before Arnold dies. Yes I know squeeze all the juice out of the turd they can but the box office returns keep diminishing.

I finally saw this movie tonight. I have some thoughts about it.

First off, I enjoyed how the movie started out. I loved the recreation of the Terminator 1 opening. I loved how we got to see what was going on in the future and what chain of events led to Reese and the original Terminator getting sent back in time.

I also thought Dany and Jai Courtney did fairly well in the movie. I think they had good chemistry on screen. I also liked the father daughter relationship between Dany and Arnold. I enjoyed some of the banter going on between those three and I think they did a good job establishing characters that we can care about.

Now, I really think the story was a fricking mess. The excessive amount of time travel going on and people getting consumed (or whatever) was a lot of nonsense. With that being said, that didn't bother me too much. I expected it. It's a crazy time travel movie and it's expected, IMO.

A couple of things that did bother me, though:

They missed out on a great opportunity with the villain. The fact that the villain was John Conner didn't really bother me, but I felt like they could have gotten someone with more charisma to play him. The capabilities or superpowers (if you will) were very well conceived and interesting. His style, the way he moved, it was really cool. It would have been nice to have someone with a little more character play him.

Now.........the ending.

First of all, I loved the helicopter chase scene. It was the best helicopter chase scene I've ever seen. The fight between the Arnold and John was GREAT. Arnold puts his hand through John's chest and pulls him to the reactor. It's an emotional scene for me. John goes to try to escape and Arnold pulls him back. The Terminator sacrifices himself to save the world again..........or so I thought. He survives. I really, really hated the fact that he survived in the end of this movie. Why? They just threw that entire emotional scene out the fricking window. It means nothing now. Bring him back in a sequel, fine. But don't fricking kill an emotional and powerful moment in the film immediately after it happens! It really pissed me off. It would have been like if Gandolf would have come back immediately after he fell in Lord of the Rings. Bring him back in the next movie, fine. But don't kill your moment right off the bat. And yes, I realize that a lot of people knew Gandolf was coming back anyway, but that's not the point. It's a matter of how the movie plays out.

Anyway......... there were some things that I enjoyed in this movie, but some big, important things fell flat for me.

If Arnold dies at the end, I give the movie a better score. With Arnold coming back the way he did, I give it a 6/10.

How on Earth would anyone believe that Arnold wouldn't be in the next movie? They spent this entire movie basically saying "we're going to do whatever time travel stupidity we want with the story so don't pay too much attention to this".

The CinemaSins for this movie is going to be an hour long.

It's not that I wonder whether or not he's coming back. I figured he would be back (if they make another one). It's a matter of how THIS movie plays out. They should have just dealt with it in the next movie. For me, it would have made it a better movie. There would have been an emotional loss in it. Maybe he comes back, maybe he doesn't. Deal with it in the next movie. That's just me.

Imagine how much better Arnold's silly robot smiles will be now that he's a t-1000.

By the way there was definitely a scene in the middle of the movie where Arnold forgot he was playing a robot.

I thought the beginning was very boring and terrible writing. It couldn't have been more average. The need to make the future more realistic and difficult. The future is all blown up and has ashes everywhere, but nobody looks like they are suffering or really dirty and desperate.

The casting of this movie is pretty bad. Arnold is great, Emilia and Jai are ho hum, and the rest don't fit at all.

A lot of the story is pretty good. Kyle interacting with his younger self was atrocious, though. They should have stayed far away from that hokey garbage.

Genisys is worth watching but fairly disappointing

Didn't they change the timeline thus making young him remember that not important anyway? I mean I know Skynet is inevitable(why I hated this movie) but they don't know that yet. Maybe I'm just lost in the time travel goobley goop.
