In addition to Cooper and Blanchett, Nightmare Alley features a remarkable ensemble cast that includes Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, David Strathairn, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, and Mary Steenburgen.

You're right. I remember starting that series and then finding out it got cancelled midway through. That show and Rubicon are two i got really pissed at the cancellations.

Carnival freak gets exploited and abused. Carnival freak gets its revenge in a supernatural sort of way. Big surprises of the movie: appearance of carnival freak and method of revenge/redemption. Sort of like The Shape Of Water, but I'm not seeing the hero in this one. It certainly doesn't seem like it's one of the three leads.
