Someone in another thread recommended survivor Australia and it does not disappoint. It's how survivor used to be in the early seasons. If you're needing a survivor fix that isn't watered down like survivor US is now, I highly recommend it

The winner of Season 1 was an out of the closet gay man whose sexuality was the topic of discussion throughout the season. The negative feedback from last night is justified as it relates to two members of a single tribe. Last season was one of the best in a long time but you watch what you want to watch.
On Probst’s podcast, he said something happened they didn’t include because of time constraints. After the immunity challenge, the winning tribe got to send a member to the losing tribe’s camp and spend the day with them to observe. Kendra got sent to watch Lulu. She listened in on conversations and made some connections. After her visit, she learned she would cast a vote for the IC before returning to her tribe. She voted for Brandon but it was never revealed because of the quit. No one is aware she got to vote or who she voted for.

the softest group of contestants ever. hippy brandon can't get his weak arse up a 5 ft ladder. then can't get up the wall, falls like he's dead.
then the blonde chick hannah quits because she's hungry and wants her bed.
obvious gay sean cries over the brandon and hannah sob stories
emily is an annoying racist bitch

Dear Survivor, Who is doing the casting? I've been watching since day 1 going on 23 years now that was the absolute worst cast, challenges, episode... everything.
If I was Kaleb and Sayibah whatever her name is, I'd be pissed and be asking Jeff to reshuffle immediately. Having someone quit at first tribal because she just wanted to have a nice bed and meal is an insult to every contestant ever, the ones who didn't get selected, the fans, etc. Just terrible.
At some point can they at least select people with some sort of physical fitness? That dude was the epitome of soy zoomer softie. Just terrible.
Create a wood/puzzle challenge that neither tribe could even get through. Wake up, these cats are the representative slice of America? Just terrible.

Now it’s like they did a casting call at my local Dollar General.

Dear Survivor, Who is doing the casting?
“Oh, that’s a quit. Yeah, 100 percent,” Probst said. “That is a very clear quit. I think what Hannah was doing was giving her tribe a fair warning that if you do not vote me out or agree to let me go home right now, then this tribe of six will quickly be down to four because I’m not staying. That’s what I read.
“And as difficult as it is, especially if you were in an alliance with Hannah, when someone is that dead set on quitting, I think the smart move is to let them quit and then adapt your game. Because it was very clear to me this was not a typical, ‘Oh, bamboo’s really rough to sleep on.’ This was, ‘Yep, I made a bad decision and I’m going to course correct right now and go home.’”
“And the first call I made was to [casting director] Jesse Tanenbaum and Dr. Liza, our head psychologist, to say, “Add this into our data, because we got it wrong. We missed something with Hannah. She shouldn’t have been on the show.”

That most recent season of Australian Survivor had a STRONG cast of character.
I enjoyed it very much.

Where to watch Australian Survivor?

Prime has a few seasons and you used to be able to see more of them on 10play but you have to have a VPN.

As someone who quit watching Big Brother because of the woke nonsense, Survivor has been fine recently. It had a really bad string of episodes a couple years back but overall they seem to do a good job navigating it.
But yeah this cast is awful. Emily calling out the two black people for an alliance was hysterical. Of course they are aligned. Two of the tribe members would probably die during a six hour power outage. The other is a complete loose cannon.

I have always trusted your posts and thoughts so I will stay away.

All of this was legit funny to me.
You left out Brandon was in tears crying when he got on the boat and met Jeff, he could barely talk. After that was the challenge incident. Then during the immunity challenge Brandon fell off the wall and looked like he died for a minute.
Then arguing over who was basically going to get to quit - Brandon or Hannah. It’s was so bizarre.
It’s almost like a parody of Survivor. I’m still in for a few more episodes though.

I really expected Jeff to be an a-hole to Hannah for quitting. He's done that in the past for quitting on challenges. This girl took a spot from someone else and barely made it half a day before saying she wanted to go home. I told my wife that she must be some CBS executive's niece or something.
I say it every season: Stop doing 3 tribes of 6. Go back to two tribes of 9 to start. There are so many issues with tribes of 6. Usually, the balance is terrible, and one tribe gets destroyed. Then, because there are only 6 people, the strategic game gets started way too early. So, people who may have been solid players later in the game get voted out early for being too good. That's not necessarily what happened last week, but if the black dude would've gotten voted out it would have. He looks like a really good player that has a 200 pound backpack of a tribe hanging on him.
With 2 teams, it's obvious that the weak link needs to go because you have a 50% chance of going to tribal if you make a mistake rather than 33%.

Yeah I agree with this. Potentially good players get taken out way too early and we are stuck with the leftover.

this is the anti-bully world we live in now. voting someone out because they are weak is seen as bullying or shaming and we can't have that.

I'd like to see a twist where they start of as one tribe then go have them go out and find a random buff color something like that to determine tribes. Hey, if you can't find a buff, you're out.

Even though Brandon is a poor excuse for a man, I have to say I enjoyed the hell out of watching him struggle. It was absolutely hilarious. I was extremely surprised when he somehow made it up that wall. I don't know if it was his team or another, but the use of the buffs to get up was genius.
