It’s hilarious how triggered some of you get over something so benign. Yeah, it was stupid but it had zero impact on the actual game play so who cares.
There you are. This was response was even more predictable than the ones bitching about it. Yeah, it's just a word... an already gender neutral one that a person playing SURVIVOR boldly proclaimed he needed to be protected from. .
And, it's exhausting having to hear about this shite absolutely everywhere you turn. Enough.

Did the others actually voice a vote, other than the gay girl(sorry, forgot her name)? Most seemed to not really care. This guy objected. It's silly, but Jeff wants to not offend the players on HIS show.
I'm not gonna stop watching because it happened, I wasn't even that annoyed about it like some on here, I just thought it was odd. I will if theres something like this in every episode.
It seems like they made a show of it. Like why didn't Jeff just stop if he was going to anyway? Were they scared of backlash from the anti-PC crowd if he just stopped doing it, so they got this guy to play the villain to "force" him? Idk. It was just a very weird moment.

Dude has a transgender pregnant husband. ok.
I'm obviously not that smart, could not wrap my mind around this. So is his "husband" actually female that identifies as male? I swear, why is everything so confusing now?

He has a wife who is mentally ill. That's all.

That is correct.
But, is he even gay if he knocked up someone via vaginal intercourse? And is that person even trans? All we really know is that they are both mentally ill.

I have no idea. It's too hard to keep up with all the different ways some people demonstrate their mental illnesses.

If I was on Survivor I would probably be asking him those questions and end up getting voted off as a result.

Nah, he would probably like you asking. Would probably feel like it legitimizes he and his wife's situation.

See, you just said wife instead of husband. You're getting voted off the island.

Just speaking the truth. Some don't seem to like that these days.

Back to the non-freak portion of the cast... who are the favorites after Danny, who is obviously #1.

I really don't know yet, too early for me. Maybe the neurosurgeon but not JD, he sounds like his balls haven't dropped.

I told my wife if JD isn't from California, I'll eat my hat. Well, looks like he is from OKC. That was shocking.

I like him, but I can also see him getting voted out post-merge because he'll be seen as a threat like Christian a few seasons back.
JD has no chance at making it all the way.

Shan, Deshawn, Danny, Xander, and the nerdy gay girl were my favorites. Not necessarily favorites to win. I just liked them the most. Sara was also a favorite, but she's gone.
I feel like I'm forgetting one or two though.

Does anyone think Survivor ever had issues with diversity, gender or race? The first winner was gay...
They most definitely do have a rough history with race and gender. What lol?
Jeff has asked women on the reunion shows about their weight, tits, sex life for christ sake lol. Bryant Gumble asked two girls why they didn't wear skimpier outfits to be more popular.
A woman in season 5 was groped her in sleep by another player and she got voted off for getting very upset about it. 34 seasons later (2019!) and they had a contestant complain to production several times about a player inappropriately touching her multiple times after she had asked him not to. Again this was used to vote her off. Finally after the man touched someone in production they pulled him from the game only after he made it to the top 5-7.
In season 8 the same gay man you referenced got naked and rubbed his dick up against a woman in a challenge. Nothing happened to him. But when she quit the show over it people mocked her for getting emotional.
Typically women and people of color are the first handful of boots every season. In the last 15 seasons there's only been 3 female winners.
As far as race is concerned, they have stacked casts with predominantly white people for so long. Maybe 1-3 non whites each season. In a competition that is built on creating relationships it makes it very easy to vote out the "other" in the group.
They also lost a bunch of sponsors in season 13 when they divided the tribes by race and used the edit to perpetuate stereotypes. In the early seasons, black people were often depicted as lazy, angry or dead beat.

Then he flips and agrees with the chode who is married to a mentally ill woman. We can't even say the word "guys" anymore without offending a guy married to woman who thinks she is a guy. Clown world.
I'm with you. Watching it now and that part completely soured me on the show.

Oh come the frick on? Does Survivor seem like something an overwhelming majority of black people would be interested in doing? I guarantee the vast majority of people that apply are white. And I’m not being derogatory here. Black people tend to be risk adverse and that’s a perfectly reasonable thing to be.

Idk I try not to stereotype. They had an easy enough time filling this cast with people of color so I’m going to assume people applying wasn’t the issue.
