Thank god they have all those brown people participating in the competition and not being murdered by evil white supremacists.

I’m just surprised Danny went the entire first episode without getting burned for a TD.

All nine females agreed to keep "come on in guys". One male says change it. Sorry ladies his vote is more important than your nine

That whole thing was like one minute out of an otherwise entertaining 2 hour episode. It’s hilarious how triggered some of you get over something so benign. Yeah, it was stupid but it had zero impact on the actual game play so who cares.

That was the best first night of tribal in 41 seasons. If it is any indication of how this accelerated season gets played it will be excellent.

The whole episode was pretty great with the decisions they forced on the tribes and individual players. That water carrying challenge seemed much harder than those 4 guys made it look. I didn’t think either one was going to finish it. And I had no clue who was going home at either tribal.

Only players i didn’t care for were Brad, Richard, and JD.

Guess they went full woke because of this?

BIPOC

Does anyone think Survivor ever had issues with diversity, gender or race? The first winner was gay...

I’m glad I read this thread before I wasted any time on this show.

I like Brad. He straight up told the two girls that they were on the chopping block, then had the balls to follow through despite the live tribal. That was old school Survivor.

Other than the gay flight attendant having a baby with his trans husband/wife I enjoyed it.
it's the age old debate.

Is he really gay if his husband has a vagina?

That's a coach move. How many times has coach won survivor?

None, but he was entertaining every time.

I don't think Brad can win either, but I liked him.

Game play was great for the first episode. I do think they are trying too hard with the "Come in guys" shite. There are way bigger tragedies in life than to worry about one pussy who is married to a woman, a mentally ill one but a woman nonetheless.

Won't stop me from watching but it's amazing how they pander to the mentally ill and weak.

Not really. There have been a few incidents over the years and Jeff turned a few Tribal Councils into forums on those issues. I think those forums have impacted Jeff and he’s been more cognizant of how he says and phrases things. He’s willing to learn and change, and I don’t see a problem with that. I think the “come on in guys” thing was silly and was glad to see the gay woman shoot it down. I also dint have a problem with Jeff scrapping it because one guy found it offensive, even though I think it’s rather silly to be offended by it. It’s Jeff’s show though, and he’s made it wildly successful for 41 seasons, so I doubt he cares what we think.

He said he didn't last night. He's got plenty of money from the show to be able to do that.

It's over the top reaching but like I said it won't keep me from watching.

I was concerned with the 26 day length but from the way it looks, it's going to be pretty intense.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the drastic change from 40 to 26, although it was supposedly because of having to quarantine and test for 14 days without any extra production time. I guess they didn't have an extra 28 days between two seasons to film so they just cut the gameplay time.

Still, if done right it's not a huge impact on the show. I hope we get a lengthy time before the first tribe swap or merge, I'm not a fan of constant tribe shifts. I'd almost rather them keep going with the original three until a large merge.

All it really means is an immunity challenge every 2 instead of 3 days.

I guess reward only challenges will be all but gone. All rewards will now be in the reward/punishment aspect of the game.

They skipped showing them entirely at times anyway, so no big loss.
