IKR! That was weird.
I pretty much feel the same as you about the show. I get tired of the "get the strong one out so there's no competition" mentality.

The edit last episode made it look like Joe might be voted out. But, he only got 1 vote.

I could see Kamilla or Kyle beating Joe. Each one is going to vote for the other to win if they get the chance. If Joe and Eva are in the final, they might siphon votes from the other. Kyle is a lawyer so he probably knows how to construct a convincing argument. Joe has laid all his cards on the table - what you see is what you get. But Kyle and Kamilla can reveal their secret relationship. They can say Joe was successful because of Eva and how she was willing to give him her advantages. Joe only came close to winning the challenge last night because Kyle called out the word. Joe’s first choice was ridiculously wrong. And Joe might have to turn on Eva in a way that turns off the jury.
In other words, almost anything can happen. In the same way the editors misled us into thinking Joe was going home last night, the editors can be making him look unstoppable to set up the big twist at the end.
Remember that Mary Ann won a few seasons ago and everyone said they must have edited out any instance when she did something to deserve it.

Kyle and Kamilla are all talk. They always talk about their "secret alliance" and how they need to make a move, but then they never do anything.
Kyle made too much of an emotional relationship with Joe after 20 days to vote him out? Kamilla doesn't even suggest voting Eva out or doing something to flip the game?
I'm out of patience with them. They had a great episode getting Thomas out, but since then, it feels like they've done nothing, especially Kamilla.

Exactly that. Pretty sure he said in a confessional that he had played the best game. Plus Joe and Eva might split votes and they are also still a shield for him.
Kyke probably feels the same way. They both probably have played a better game so far, but that doesn't guarantee a win.

They all, besides Mitch, are eating a ton. Don't forget the episode cycles are shorter, so these rewards are every couple of days. Did we need ANOTHER food reward this episode?
Might as well just have a continental breakfast for them when they wake up and stop the charade that the vast majority of them are starving.
And that doesn't mean, by the way, that we have to cut down on the number of rewards. You can have a helicopter tour of the island, do something with the locals, get massages/showers, etc...but if it's 26 days, the abundance of food seems ridiculous given the premise of the show.

I haven’t but the others missed a prime opportunity last episode to get rid of Joe.

I think the missed move was not voting out Eva. Voting out Joe still leaves Eva with a ton of advantages. If they voted out Eva, then you could potentially get her to leave with all of those advantages in her bag. Then, you hope someone beats Joe in a challenge.
Having said that, voting out anyone but Mary would've at least shown some balls.

I found out on the post-show podcast Shauhin was an alternate for Season 46, along with last season’s winner Rachel. It would be so hard to get away from work for one season, I can’t imagine being able to accommodate false starts as an unchosen alternate and then going back a couple of seasons later.
