I still think it was the right move to not take out Carolyn here. If you keep her your odds of going to final 3 go up greatly but if you cut her, you give the power to Jamie, Heidi, and Lauren

That's a good point.

Speaking of Jamie, she looked hot in this episode when she had her hair down.

Agreed.

In Probst’s podcast, he and the 2 others who do the podcast walked through each of the final 5 and listed their pro’s and con’s to getting jury votes if they make the final 3. Based on their arguments, Lauren has a great shot of winning because she has an emotional story that she already recited in an earlier episode. She has won 2 individual immunity challenges and there are former members of her tribe on the jury. She also rigged the rock draw in her tribe so she would go on one of those excursions early in the game because she wanted to play the game.

Yam Yam was also a strong candidate because he has made connections, won an individual immunity, and has an emotional story to tell that he has already told so he can just recite it to the jury.

Carolyn is a wildcard because she has played a good game (even Yam Yam said so) but can she hold it together long enough to tell her story? No immunity wins but Probst said that a psychologist mentioned that people who have a negative initial impression of a person sometimes do things out of guilt when they see they were wrong.

Carson doesn’t seem to have a backstory to tell but he’s smart and has probably thought about a jury speech for months.

Heidi? Has former tribe members on the jury but let’s be real.

Probst also said that there is a hidden immunity idol on the new beach but didn’t say if it was found.

Finally, he said there will be an episode of the podcast available immediately after the finale show airs Eastern time and it will have the 3 finalists. Could be interesting.

It was absolutely the right move, at least from Carson's POV, to not take Carolyn out this week.

If he takes Carolyn out, he has to win idols to survive. With Carolyn still here, Carson now knows who Yam Yam's biggest target is.

Carson needs Carolyn to get rid of Yam Yam

The finale is tonight. Does anyone have any predictions?

Carolyn/Yam/Lauren.. assuming they have 3 finalists. Yam will win

Anyone/Anyone/Lauren = Lauren wins

If Lauren makes the final 4, she’ll win immunity and the game.

If Lauren gets voted out, Carson will win immunity and Heidi and Yam Yam will make fire. If Yam Yam wins fire, he wins the game.

Carolyn finds an idol, Lauren wins immunity, Yam Yam gets blindsided due to the idol play.

Then Carson wins final immunity thanks to the puzzle component and saves Heidi.

Lauren beats Carolyn at fire and Carson barely edges her out for the win.

Probably all wrong.

They hinted at Carson losing at fire all season.

Yam Yam is a strong winner

Thought he presented his case really well. I also have a theory going back to tyson that making the jury laugh is worth like 1-2 votes alone. Very happy with his win

For the first time in a few seasons, I’m not mad at who won. I felt bad for Carolyn though.

I thought Carolyn would pick up a vote or two, but didn't think she could beat out Yam Yam or Carson.

If Carson would’ve been in the final three I figured he’d be a unanimous champion.

Lauren's speech right before she got voted out could have swayed some her way... had she found the idol and then made the final 3.

The editing made it pretty obvious she was done for, though.

ETA: Carson didn't have a single vote against him all season.

Glad Yam Yam won, but sucks that Carolyn got no votes.

Heidi winning would have been such a sham, and she was really trying to sell for pity votes

Carolyn needed to be the only Tika sitting at the end to give herself the best chance. She did well but it’s hard to give her a vote over Yam and Carson. She should’ve voted with Lauren and Heidi tbh.

When someone asked Carolyn a question and Heidi interrupted her, I think the jury didn't like that. I know I didn't. It was rude. And I really get tired of the *poor me* like Heidi did.

That was so annoying. Was obvious Heidi knew her gameplay was garbage so she kept reverting to “25 years ago I moved to the US with nothing and it was so hard!”. You’re there to play the game, your past/background doesn’t matter unless it benefits your gameplay - like Carolyn being able to read people well. I didn’t dislike Heidi, but she was just sooo…meh.

Overall, happy YamYam took it. He played a good game, was everyone’s friend until he wasn’t then next thing you know they’re voted out. Carolyn deserved some votes but I think she fumbled her FTC pitch. She needed to play up her strategy because she legit had some. Unfortunately she couldn’t shake the crazy lady and Tika ride-along labels. People like Brandon, Lauren, and Danny were never going to give her a vote despite her play to get Danny out.

Lastly, WTF Carson? Dude 3D printed every puzzle and I think someone said he’s an Eagle Scout but he didn’t practice fire?? I mean, he said he did, but his technique said otherwise. Absolutely mental. I know it’s controversial but firemaking challenge kind of sucks.
