That’s funny because he said he was gonna take a break to spend time with his wife

Strike while the iron is hot. He's got a legit hit on his hands and its staying power is great in this day and age.

Definitely agree and he’s a workaholic so he won’t sit long

He also replied “define sequel” last week so it’ll be interesting to see who all shows up in this

I think the sequel has a chance to be a much better film. My concern with Superman was Gunn had a lot on his plate...taking over DC, making Peacemaker, creature Commandos and Superman all at the same time. That's crazy. Now, he gets to focus on just the sequel and I think that'll be a good thing.

I'm going with a Superman and Supergirl team-up film

Works for me. I was thinking it was too early for the justice league. But I kinda trust Gunn at this point either way.

I think making his parents sorta bad is a clue. I could see a film with them heading out to Krypton and other planets to investigate their history. Something like that

Going to new planets is definitely coming. That was hinted at the end of the movie.

He also did say that he doesn’t consider his parents bad. Maybe his parents were just unaware and ignorant. they saw us as sea turtles like he said.

We also have to start building the “monsters” lore out soon if we’re going to build toward an ensemble film in 8-10 years too

I would think they’d want to involve some of the creature commandos sooner than later

Martian Manhunter is gonna be in whatever that next project is

maybe too early for the Justice League, but we can get a Justice Gang movie going.

I was thinking that. That would be cool.

I don't know. I noticed the Oreos in Superman, but they also had JItters Coffee and I don't think we'll see a Flash that soon. Though I'd love to see a Martian Manhunter in the same vein as in Justice League animated or Supergirl on CBS/CW.

They also had Big Belly Burger, but that's associated with a few different characters.

The wife and I saw it last weekend. It was good. I get the idea of returning to the comic booky world of DCU. I'm not mad at it.

I didn't like that his parents were rubes. It really bugged me. I'm not familiar with comics enough to know if that is how they were portrayed.

I thought Mr. Terrific was awesome.

this was my biggest complaint. I get pissed at this when someone who’s obviously never meaningfully known anyone from the rural south portrays them as dumb hicks. Were they super nice people? Sure - but they were “simple”. Plus it doesn’t make sense that Clark grew up in a household and community with accents that thick and didn’t have a trace of it in Metropolis. He at least should say “y’all” even if his accent is light.

Yeah maybe not the next movie but I’m sure he’ll make an appearance soon. He hasn’t really been done yet in live action, and Gunn seems to do well with the alien characters

If he’s teasing him I’m sure he’ll give us a payoff

They weren't.
