I saw a few reviews saying the lighting is terrible. They said the comic is full of color yet the movie has zero color in it. Just so dumb

That seems to be the issue with 90% of movies now. It's horrible.

Loved Hail Mary as well just thought it was earlier in year.

Trying to figure what movie was so disliked that I liked.

I'm not coping. Snyder movies (some I liked) were very dark. Especially compared to hit at the time MCU movies.
That's just a fact.

That’s not even the issue. The director doesn’t know what he’s doing.

USE A FILL LIGHT, for the love of god. Every single shot is lit from behind

You are coping, you come in here making quips because you’re mad this one sucks.

Snyder knows photography, see the shots above. Gillespie does not

I haven't seen it yet. I'll give my opinion later. I'm not coping. I have no opinion on movies I haven't seen. I'm not you or SEK or MK. I won't post dozens of times about a movie I haven't seen. I'm going tonight. If it sucks I'll say it sucks. I was looking forward to scary movie for months and it sucked. I prefer to form my own opinions rather than let YouTube decide for me.

I like Lobo. Mainly interested for him.

Stop making quips! This isn’t the MCU. Only super serious discussion is allowed here.

great argument, yall think you’re cooking with fire when you bring this up. everyone on the planet is saying this movie sucks and the script is awful. Even feminists apparently

I’m not supporting this movie monetarily because of the actress and Gunn’s hubris, and that’s fine. I don’t need to see it to tell you it isn’t good

I do think it’s funny you thought you had something shitting on Snyder’s visuals though. That’s good stuff. This movie looks like a turd, literally. Look at the screenshots

I’m going to call him out when he’s spouting bullshite because he’s an anti-Snyder bro type, Esquire. Is it written out fully on your email as well?

You rarely like any movies. The three of y'all are like Debbie Downers in here so your opinion carries very little weight. You just like to post as much as possible about movies to get others to not see them when you haven't seen them yourself. The biggest complaints in this very board about the Snyder movies were they were "dark" especially justice league.
Argument? It's factual. Your opinion is a repeat of others opinions unless you experience it yourself your opinion is worthless.

You still don’t get it and that’s kind of funny after I’ve spelled it out for you.

Gillespie cannot light a scene. A movie can have a darker tone and be lit properly

Also, I’m not trying to not get anyone to see it despite me not supporting it monetarily. The actress did that herself quite well, along with the script

Not anti Snyder. I saw all those movies in theaters. Only hated Aquaman 2. I saw justice league both cuts a few times.
I liked peacemaker and the newer suicide squad and Guardians but am not the biggest Gunn fan either. I don't even really pay attention to directors.
I like to see a lot of movies. I try and go to the movies 3-5 times a month. I like film.
Plenty of movies I haven't seen. Even they are discussed here I don't post dozens of times about them. I will never understand that.

I dont even know who Gillespe is. That's how little I care about the director I'm interested in the film.

Kryptonians are allergic to the color green in the Gunmverse.

It's universe-buildling. Now the Green Lanterns have a some counter to yellow-sun Kryptonian strength for the inter-personal conflict IF James Gunn gets to HIS version of the Justice League.

I can almost picture the scene:

quote:

Green Lantern is challenging Superman. "Why are we listening to you? You're not even from Earth." (MESSAGE - about hatred/racism/immigration)

Superman: "I've been helping people while you've been sitting around blah blah blah"

They start to get in each other's faces and cut to Green Lantern's hand tensing and a green glow. Superman staggers slightly and grimaces. Maybe he's not as all-powerful as he things . . .

James Gunn - feel free to use that.

I mean, they probably saw up close what they were working with, and decided the darker and fuzzier the main character appears, the better off they would be.

That's what I don't understand- this person would have disdain for 90% of the people on this board in real life, and went out of the way to make a point to say so. Why would ANYONE support her or her studio financially? I swear, there must be some masochists on here. They spout :I don't care what the actress thinks..." and so on, but you are going out of your way to support someone that thinks you are sub human.
