The one on the left is him without all of his makeup. The one in the cell phone is him, but you can't really see much, other than the fact that he looks creepy as hell.

Yeah, that's just him out in public. His clothing choices are...interesting to say the least

I hear that he's a weird cat. Should fit the Joker well.

I was hoping for more of the Heath Ledger look. To me, that's probably the best visual of a live-action Joker that's ever been done.

It's hard to tell from that pic, but I think that is more of the direction they're going. Maybe not with the lopsided lipstick, but the black around the eyes, etc will be there. They can't make it exactly like the Ledger Joker, unfortunately.

ETA: The short hair does fit Leto beter, IMO.

I think he'll be close to The Killing Joke look. Permawhite to set it apart from Nolan's--just look at Batman's comic accurate portrayal in BvS

As far as the character's personality, that's what I'm hearing, too. This will be the most bat-shite crazy Joker we've ever seen.

ETA: On screen that is.

I see he's still on his Dallas Buyers Club diet. Somebody get that man a sandwich.

White coat with the make-up is too much. Dude needs to get some darker clothes.

This is the look that I first thought of after seeing him. It somehow looks like he'll have a much pointier nose and chin with short green hair. Really twisted look.

The white suit is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns, no doubt.

I don't care for the contrasting black around the lapels though.

Heath Ledger's Joker is really just the terrorist straight from the pits of hell. He's a simply fantastic villain (one of the best of all time), but he's by no means the definitive version of the Joker. Mark Hamill is still the man who has the definitive version, and it seems as if they're going to try to emulate him from what I've seen so far. Rig two boats to explode and try to make one blow the other up. Hamill's on it. Enter an art gallery just to paint all over them. Hamill's on it. Kill someone with a cyanide pie. Hamill's on it. Steal from the mob and light it on fire in front of them. He's on it. He's the definitive version that you could see him doing any act that any of the Jokers have done. Two scenes that kind of illustrate how good he is:
