I've never been a comic book reader, but just from general knowledge/internet shite I've got the gist of the character down I think, at least traditionally speaking. Obviously the movie jokers, but other than that Hamill's Joker on the animated show would be the biggest source.

wow, that's an interesting look for him. From what I read he'll be in prison for the majority of the film, so this fits. The tattoo on the forehead is dumb thou.

Was hoping for some prosthetics to make his nose and chin look more pointed and angular.

I'm betting the Damaged tattoo was done just for the shot. Won't surprise me if no tattoos are visible.

Meh. I like the teeth and hair, but the tattoos are kind of lame. I think the real joker would laugh at tattoos

I don't have a problem with him having them, just none visible. And nothing real loud. Maybe show some in one scene where he has his shirt off. As it stands, they may want to reconsider some of them. I love the facial scars, teeth, hair, just about everything else.

The teeth are pretty bad too. It really looks like one of the Joker gang from Batman Beyond more than anything. More like a Juggalo than the Joker with those teeth and tats. But like you said, after all the backlash they'll probably get I'm sure much will change.
Hopefully they do him well, I'm really looking forward to a Suicide Squad movie.
