The scene the writers wanted was the final scene with Tom walking in as the new spineless CEO, Frank / Carl talking about doing another ride, everyone kissing his arse, etc etc, a commentary on the pointless rollercoaster of capitalism

I thought that scene was pretty good and funny in a dark humor sense of the word. Tom putting the save sticker on Greg was perfect, but how they got there made no f’ing sense

I don't think Shiv's change of heart was well explained. After she learned Tom was gonna be CEO, she was even more motivated to stop the deal. So it couldn't have been that she wanted Tom over Kendall as the reason for her flip-flop.

And then nothing happened between Shiv and Kendall between the beach decision and her walking out of the boardroom to change her mind either.

So it just seemed to come out of the blue unless I'm missing something.
