Ken has stepped up numerous times before, people just now jumping on team Kendall don’t seem to recognize he’s essentially the same.
Yea, I think Ken is orders of magnitude more competent than his siblings or any of the corporate cronies. Yea he’s a drugged-up fvck-up, but I think a lot of that is bc his father has been jerking around the promotion for the longest time. It clearly fvcked with Kendall and not saying I’d want him to be my kid or my CEO, but it was always going to be him
Shiv might torpedo the whole thing and get them ousted, but it was always gonna be Ken

The sibs and others also still know Ken killed a guy. I could see Ken finally showing competent leadership and someone blows it up with that info and the whole thing crumbles.

quote:I agree and don't get the confidence some have in Kendall. He's a weak insecure loser LARPing as a high powered executive. Logan had them all pegged as the non serious people they are and will always be.
Ken is going to frick it up somehow. As Logan said earlier, they aren’t serious people. And that won’t change over the last few episodes

2. His siblings are twats that are always going to default to self-centeredness (ESPECIALLY Shiv).
It’s like team ken is watching a different show.
He was knowingly torpedoing the mattson deal purely to spite his dad.
Then he torpedoes the agreed upon strategy. Purely out of spite to his dad because he came to terms that he was crossed out and passed over for CEO.
I don’t get where this idea of a selfless Kendall comes from. Every decision he makes and every judgement is clouded by his opinions on his dad. In early seasons it was to please his dad, now it’s to spite his dad.

Agreed. All of the kids are super flawed in a similar way bc of the father. Ken isn’t better than Shiv.

Logan told Ken he's not a killer.
With his dad gone nothing is holding him back from being a killer.

Which I explained in my point #1 (not sure why you didn't quote that), that with the death of his Dad things change. Drastically.

He's always wanted that CEO spot. But old Ken doesn't make the concession for Roman to also be CEO.
That said, I don't see them saying that Shiv needs to be on the outside as torpedoing. That's just straight-up smart strategy to get the board to buy in. It was implied that with Kendall "crossed out" on the paper by Karl that the "little princess" (Shiv) would make a play and they very much did not want her at the head of the table.

Greg is going to come out a huge winner, people forget how Greg came into play in season 1 and what do you know, Tom asks Greg to dispose of some documents lol. Bet your mortgage Greg kept himself some copies

Ken went back to his hunched over bumbling persona pretty quick there. I was starting to like his carefree frick-it attitude.

Finally catching up on past two episodes. Whew. The 20 or so minutes of them on the phone with Logan being given CPR. Intense stuff.
"I like you Tom, Good Luck"
Marcia is something else too. "I'm looking between $60 and $70 million". Punking Kerry too. Haha

Out of all the horrible characters on that show, I want to see Marcia get fricked the most. How nobody has punched her in the face yet is outrageous.
It's been hard to like Ken or even the actor himself, but that line and the little smile he had at the end after the dildo comment was awesome

Shiv plays the ultra rich liberal woman to a tee. Erratic and controlled by emotion. Can't stand not to be in charge

But that’s my point.
His dad is dead. He is CEO and what does he use to influence his decision making? His dad crossing out his name. That’s clearly implied by him going back to the document, looking at it again and then calling the pr guy
It’s not about what was best for the company. It’s purely out of spite for his dad.

What was said between Karl frank and Geri was that there was a name written in pencil as the person for succession.
When the kids show up they present the will as that Ken was the intended person for CEO. Though it’s made clear that his name was typed and there was a line either through or under it. Depending on how you want to frame it.
The only person that is mentioned as being written in pencil is Greg which frank frames (hurriedly) as an unknown meaning to which there is no reason to pursue.
Greg was the successor but no one (probably not even Greg) wants Greg to be CEO. The only people who want Greg to be CEO are the true fans. We refer to ourselves as the disgusting brothers
