That’s because they realize how terrible it is

Episode 7 - great opening scene. Always great to have Murray and the science teacher on screen. OMG major props to the writers. Not many people know this outside of Reggie Miller and Pacer fans but in 1987 there was this massive meltdown because the pacers shunned its local hero/phenom Steve Alford and took this kid named Reggie Miller who was booed when they drafted him. Reggie became the greatest Pacer to ever live. That scene in itself makes this episode a success so far. I even knew reggie went 4-6 from the field with 10 points his first game in the NBA. That scene in itself cancels out all of this queer/woke stuff.
Linda Hamilton might be the most useless new cast member. I do agree there are just too many main characters at this point. This was the worst episode of the season.
WOW. That was one of the worst scenes in tv history. Woke liberals will ruin everything. Why the frick would they think that was a good idea. Luckily that's all it was a moment. A 5 minute embarrassing moment out of 46 total hours.
That scene alone losses a letter grade. Without that scene the episode would be just ok.
7.4 out of 10.
The 40k trolls and bots voting it a 1 out of 10 from other countries haven't watched the show. One more episode to see if they land the ending. If they do people will forget about that terrible scene. That scene alone will take it out of my top 5 overall but it still has a chance to land in the top 10 overall if they nail the ending.

If it was so terrible you wouldn't still be watching. It's the most streamed show of all time

You’re trying too hard not to show your 420’s alter and it’s not working. Either way, that aside, it’s unbelievable just how bad you miss the point with this. It’s not actual run time that matters, it’s that they are changing the entire story simply because Will is gay. Being gay literally gave him super powers

And you were sunshine pumping it before you watched it. Same thing. It’s getting so many 1 star votes because it’s the worst episode of the show so far. Pretty simple.

Hope they stick the landing. I’m not getting my hopes up. But people certainly aren’t forgetting that scene just like people aren’t forgetting the “I’m going to be a dad” scene. The internet has taken and run with it.

Being gay literally gave him super powers It’s not just the coming out scene, it’s the fact that they feel it is extremely important to explore his sexuality at the most important part of the series. Not just explore it, but make it a focal point. It’s so dumb. Legit one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen writers of a good show do.
that's why I said it's one of the worst scenes in tv history baw

No it wasn't. Episode 7 season 2 was the worst episode of the show. Scoring it a 1 is just trolling and all because of the terrible terrible 5 minute woke scene.
I said I'd bet my mortgage this episode wouldn't be anywhere near a 1 out of 10. Once again I was right. That scene was a 1 out of 10 but the episode was a 7.4 overall.

Same with Max and Holly having a whole arse long conversation about how to get out of Vecna's grasp while the brief window was open for them to get out. Again, too much dialogue there.
To be fair, only Max's window was open and Holly couldn't go through it. Holly couldn't see her opening until that long assed dialog taught her how to see it.
I do like how Max apparently knew about all of this in detail the whole time and strung Holly along, waiting until the last second to tell her she couldn't go.

We are almost caught up. Still have Ep 7 to go, but so far it has ranged from really great action, to awfully boring speeches. And too many scenes of the group talking about their plans, which inevitably never work because of some unforeseen variable.
Will and Robin talking in the tunnel, and again at the radio tower. Nancy and Jonathan sitting on a table in a building that is turning into a white goo around them. Dustin and Steve on the staircase when Dustin starts bawling crying in Steve's arms. Anytime Robin goes off on a rant.
I get the need for dialogue to move things along, but it always seems to happen when something obviously more important is going on around them. It is at the end of the last season, we don't necessarily need character development anymore, we all want to see some final battle or endgame.

All pretty valid points. The season gets worse the more I think about it but just going to hopefully just enjoy a good 2 hour finale.
Should be available to watch now.
Going to have to be tomorrow before I watch.

Starting the finale now. Going to try and get an hour in. Let’s see how it goes.

I don’t know where to begin. Endings are never easy you build them up so much in your own head that they can never live up to the expectations.
This like scrubs was not one of them. What’s even more impressive with stranger things is with social media everyone now has a voice when that’s not how society was meant to be. Even if you make the perfect episode there will always be some people who say it’s the worst thing they have ever watched. Everyone has theories and stay up all night moaning and complaining on every scene instead of just enjoying the moment right in front of you. After episode 7 everyone including me had their concerns. Would they answer all the questions we’ve had since season 1 and would they land the ending which so many have failed to do in this day and age. There was not a dry eye in the movie theatre. If I had one complaint which was minimal It was that the vecna fight scene was short but when you have a sorcerer and a pissed off eleven fighting together it was so satisfying. The Joyce scene gave me goosebumps thinking about the shite she went thru since season 1 episode 1. I don’t remember a show that did music as well stranger things with their masterpiece theme song to heroes and running up that hill. How many hundreds of thousands of shows or movie tried to get prince music in them and failed. Not stranger things they pulled off the impossible and got master of puppets and now did the impossible and got not only one but 2 prince songs. Plus Fleetwood Mac. This was a not only a beautiful and emotional episode but it was a fricking masterpiece. Decades later when people talk about this show they will remember the beginning and ending. Congrats to that duffer brothers on giving us Stranger Things.
9.9 out of 10

Actually pretty satisfied with how they ended it. Ran a little long and sappy but eh, I get it.

I was really hoping they would've played the audio from s1 when they were playing D&D instead of the new crop of kids playing it. That would've sealed the deal for me. It was a bit drawn out, but overall pretty solid finale.

They made the older kids the most insufferable fricks on Earth outside of Steve at the end.
Nancy adds nothing to the show other than “I was pretty and popular but now I’m a total bad arse who doesn’t need a man or a relationship to make me happy!”
Robin is literally the most insufferable female lead character meme you see on Instagram and TikTok.
Jonathan’s useless stoner arse somehow got into NYU and is an anti capitalist communist dipshit that thinks he’s smarter than he actually is.
Steve thankfully avoided the character assassinations of the last 2 seasons.
Dustin went from one of my favorites of the show to someone i actively wish they would have killed off after this 1 season. Especially with the whole “frick the establishment” bullshite.
Other than Steve, Mike and Hop, every other character could have died and I would have been happy. The end also felt like a soft copout by the duffer brothers trying to say “well there’s a possibility”.
Like no dude. El is dead. And there is absolutely no logical reason to pretend otherwise.
This season wasn’t Season 8 GOT bad but man it was close.

Explain in detail in what fricking way
Game of thrones had 6 episodes in season 8 and all 6 episodes were worse than the next. The finale was one of the worst series finales of all time. Stranger Things had 8 episodes and landed the ending. They had one not so good episode (episode 7).

Ending was turbo arse. The climax was lame as frick and so was the epilogue. Also how the frick did they legally get away with murdering soldiers and kidnapping and drugging a family?
Yeah, I definitely would’ve hoped while watching the masterpiece of season 1 that the final scene of the whole series would involve that Derek kid screaming about farts. Amazing.
ETA: Speaking of season 1, this show really lost its damn mind down the stretch. Go back and watch season 1 and then now realize Nancy’s character would turn into fricking interdenominational Rambo and tell me this shite didn’t jump the shark.
