I wonder if the writers purposely kept Will, Mike, and Johnathan way to the side of everything important. They clearly are everyone's least favorite characters. I guess it could be that they needed to have 11 away from the main threat so they can flesh it out over an entire season and let the others in Hawkins take the lead. So, they couldn't just have 11 away by herself.
Everyone else in the story had much more important scenes throughout. They had a chance to show off their acting chops. The Byars Brothers and Gonzo were relegated to a couple semi-emotional scenes.
Here's to them going on a field trip to Canada next season and taking the entire season to get back.

Season 4 was the best season yet. Everything tied together so neatly, pulling together these loosely connected plots from the past 3 seasons under the umbrella of Vecna/Henry/One
Or VH1 as he’s known to some. Hence why Eddie’s behind the music rendition can impact him so.
It’s all a circle my dude.

I wanted to throw my drink into the TV every time Argyle was on screen.
I don’t get why Argyle is so popular. I considered fast forwarding every scene with him in it…felt like I was watching a disney channel original movie.

I can see people being annoyed by him, but from a story standpoint, he was probably up there for the most help to the final outcome. If you had to rank the contributions of that group, I think it would be:
1. Dustin's girlfriend
2. Argyle for saving them in his vehicle and thinking about the salt at the pizza store
3. Mustache body guard that was a fricking badass
4. Mike for telling 11 to fight
5. Will for telling Mike he has heart to tell 11 to fight
6. Dustin's girlfriend's dad for having a computer
7. Johnathan

Because he was contrasted with 3 monumentally mopey drags

I think Nancy will find out that Jonathan the burnout didn’t apply to the same university next season and she’ll break up with him. I hope Steve is safe next season, but the comment he made to Nancy about having 6 kids makes me think otherwise.

I think there was one major missed opportunity by the Duffer brothers.
In the scene where Lucas is reading The Talisman to Max in the hospital, he should have cut himself short and asked if she’d rather hear some music for a bit. Then sing her the chorus of Running Up That Hill. Lucas choking up while singing “If I only could I’d make a deal with God to swap our places” would have brought the house down.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned already, but I just wanted to commend 50 year old Winona Ryder for still being able to tickle my pickle with her underwear scene.

I hope so. He has had absolutely frickall to do since S2 when he was possessed. Even then, his character didn’t get to do much except move the plot forward. His arc this season was painting and telling Mike he has heart. I feel bad for the character, but the writers seem to have no clue how to make him useful
His prior experience is going to help him realize Max is possessed.

Just wrapped up watching the second half of season 4. I really enjoyed the season. However, they didn't address the military's pursuit of Eleven in the final episode. I was expecting the general in the prior episode to show up at some point. He did see the pizza van drive off.

That's a good point, but I'm glad they didn't. We already had one unnecessary character hindering a main character in Jason. We didn't need the military to show up to the pizza joint to throw more uncertainty into whether 11 could get the job done.
Those two characters (lumping the entire military force in with the main general guy) remind of me children characters in shows and movies. It makes sense having them in the story, but they really just hinder our favorite characters from doing what we want them to be able to do. They are essentially antagonists without being the antagonist that we actually care about.

Yea i kept waiting for them to show up to the pizza joint just as 11 got in her groove.
The fascinating thing about the military involvement is how the show depicts the factions in the government re: 11. Obviously we know Brenner is far from a good guy, and he’s even got the MPs bullying Owens, but their whole team feels they are working for the greater good. Then you have the army and the ruthlessness of Sullivan leaving the black agent guy in the hole, shooting dead all the unarmed scientists trying to escape the bunker, ambushing the kids and the 2 agents at Joyce’s house. Per their own intelligence and information they feel they’re on the right side because according to their POV it’s 11 doing all this damage, so they need to get her by all means.
Im sure hiding 11 from them will be a starting point for season 5

Has anyone seen this Eddie as a vampire theory? It seems far fetched and I don't think it happens, though the sword thing is interesting, but:
quote:
Many Stranger Things fans knew Eddie’s death was imminent, but that doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. Despite his death, some fans, including TikToker @jadenbricker, can see Eddie becoming “Kas the Bloody Handed.”
“If you don’t know who Kas the Bloody Handed is, he is a vampire that served as Vecna’s right-hand man — his most trusted lieutenant until the sword of Kas whispered to him and was like, ‘Yo dog, betray Vecna now. Thanks,'” they explained.
“Kas the Bloody Handed is a vampire,” the TikToker added. “According to legend, vampires are created when one is bitten by a bat or many bats. They then succumb to their wounds and pass away until they become a sword-wielding vampire named Kas the Bloody Handed.”
Since Eddie got attacked by bats and the Duffers love foreshadowing, we can totally see this theory playing out. Additionally, there’s the unexplained sword Hopper (David Harbour) picks up to battle the Demogorgon in the Russian prison.
“That s*** appeared out of nowhere and that scene happens right before Eddie’s death,” says the TikTok user. In Dungeons and Dragons lore, Kas attacks Vecna with the Sword of Kas, which results in a battle that destroys them both. Could the sword be what takes Vecna down in Stranger Things 5?

Was the sword not one of the weapons that was made available to the prisoners before they had to go in and fight the Demogorgon?

Wasn't Steve bitten by several bats in a previous episode?

Yep.
And it was also the exact same sword from Conan.

I know Will is gay but that wasn’t my question. I was wondering what the real story was. Did Eleven commission the painting or not? That story changes from beginning of season to the end.
