Man.. what a season. Last 2 episodes were great. Like a poster said before, when the remix of “Running up that Hill” started playing and it cut to everybody.. just perfect!
So it looks like we’re gonna get another Mind Flayer season?
And the timeline situation didn’t get answered of the upside down, unless I missed it.
I don’t like how people were so close to death and luckily escaped it though. Can’t be afraid to kill off people.

They said they are also considering a 4 year time jump but not sure how that works with where they left it.

Agreed. She’s definitely gone. I think that’s what was being hinted at with El going into her mind and seeing nothing. Probably a vessel for Vecna next season to torment the gang even more. Surprised at the amount of criticism so far. The last two were great. Def a bummer Eddie died. I honestly expected Murray and/or Enzo to bite it too.
You don’t have to kill people off to have stakes in a show as the Duffers just showed. Hawkins is fricked. Demo’s are about to run rampant and the government is going to have to lock it down.

I thought the final 2 episodes were amazing. I’m still buzzing about them. Some folks just over critical and forget to just be entertained. I might watch them again shortly. Great fricking television

Man, Eddie’s uncle got me in the feels. Poor guy.
Dramatic Kate Bush is great, but dramatic Separate Ways is better.
Master of Puppets was fricking awesome. Just the absolute best.

One thing I did have trouble following was the Mind Flayer bit. Was it just raw sentient power that couldn’t have a form and Vecna just gave it form and then it followed his commands?
Or was it just raw power and he gave it a form and it was basically just Vecna? Or is it its own existence?

Agreed. It’s tied with Season One for me.
The book Lucas was reading is The Talisman by Stephen King. That’s definitely gotta be a hint at next season

I understood it as being a sort of life force that was intertwined with the demagorgons that were more or less benevolent creatures just existing as a hive mind in this dimension. Vecna just used his ability to take control of it and, thus, the hive mind

A couple of theories and thoughts about season 5.
I feel like Max staying alive will be a big key to the season. Since music can repair the broke mind, they can play her song which will trigger the mind awake to have 11 see inside her mind. Since everyone 001 kills becomes a part of him, it may allow 11 to see inside 001’s mind. Idk just a thought.
There has to be importance around the time being frozen in the upside down. I’ll have to think about that one but it could be the key to closing the gates.
Now that the worlds are combined I feel the show shifts from more of a Telekinesis/powers show to more of a physical fight against the bad characters of the upside down.
There was something else Brenner wanted 11 to see before the underground bunker was raided. Without Brenner how will she find out?

Man seeing Max get broken like that hit different. With the other characters it was shocking but I didn't have a emotional connection to them like Max. Then her begging for her life at the end was just a gut punch.

I was thinking this exact thing as it ended. Season 4 is absolutely incredible and my personal favorite. The scene with Kate Bush as they were all fighting battles was top notch.
Shoutout to my man Eddie Munson though. Dude went out like a champ and had one of the most badass scenes shredding Master of Puppets in the Upside Down.

Perhaps, but I think it’s just a nod to the next project the Duffers will be working on. In tandem with King and Steven Spielberg, so The Talisman tv series has incredible potential!

Another thing I noticed when 001 went to the upside down nothing was there, not even Hawkins it seems. Did he create the town? When he was transported the Hawkins lab wasn’t around.
