Stranger Things S3: Pics from Starcourt Mall

My office is right down the road from Gwinnett Place Mall, the largely-defunct setting for Stranger Things' Starcourt. Back last summer they closed down part of the mall to rehab it and give it the 80's treatment for this most recent season of ST.
Obviously it was locked down hella tight when they were filming, but now that the season is out and the holiday is over, the crew is now breaking the place down. At the inside of the mall, they have two levels of barricades, but I found a way to outsmart the mall cops.
Here's a pic of the outside of the theater area and a few shots into the inside of the mall area from an adjacent store.
The food court area with Scoops Ahoy, etc are to the left of the area in the pics, beyond the escalator and the Nut Shack kiosk. Unfortunately I couldn't get to that area. When the lady in the store tried telling me not to take any pics, I winked and said I was taking photos of the dresses.

Very cool. Brings me back.
I saw Baskin Robbins in Burbank, CA changed to Scoops Ahoy for this month. I'm heading to LA today for work for a few days, going to try and go see it.

Damn, didn't realize that they were filming there. I live about 15 minutes away. Makes you think....could have been me that was melted down to serve as the mind flayer's dong.

Is Stranger Things still a thing? Are we in 2016?

Gwinnett Place Mall,
Can't tell you how many hours I spent there as a kid/teen.
It's truly sad what it is now.

Do many Russians work there?
There's quite literally only 6 stores open in the whole thing. It's a ghost town.
If Netflix had any sense, they'd keep the area as-is and charge admission for folks to walk around and take pictures throughout.

Damn dude this is actually cool

I was wondering how they nailed that Orange Julius. I worked at one in high school. And it looked exactly like the one in the show.

Wow, I used to work down the street from there back in the day. Good ol’ Satellite Blvd
