Wow this thread turned into arse quickly. To try and steer back on course: I just finished the season. I thought it got progressively better with each episode and I enjoyed it.

I just finished and I loved it but the ending gave me the sadz....
Spoiler alert
No Billy doesn’t smash mrs. Wheeler but we do have our first lesbo on the show and she was cool! I really like the Russian scientist Alexi and they had to kill him off right when he was discovering what is capitalism lol. In all seriousness, them killing Alexi, Billy, and Hopper gave me the the way the show ended should be the last season of stranger things and I loved it better then season 2.

The attempt at humor is terrible, out of place, and gets worse as the season goes on.
A few things occur in the finale that are downright absurd, although I'll refrain from posting specifics since apparently people are posting in this thread after having only watched a few episodes.

On episode 3 now. MUCH better than season 2 IMO. Love it so far.

I'm not mocking you. Let me say that. But let us consider that the very first season set all of this up as a clandestine experiment to spy on... the Soviets. Things just went really wrong and opened up a gigantic can of worms. It would be a lot weirder for them not to have made an appearance in this show given the setting and background.
You have to have the Soviets show up at some point.
