Hopper was busy keeping 11 hidden. The daddy/"daughter" dynamic was more important than a romantic story at that point.

True. But now that the secret is out about Eleven..time for one big happy family! Seriously I hope Hopper and Joyce hook up.

True. I’m sure it was a MAJOR lifestyle change for him. No more late night romps with the librarian

Just finished it up. S2 was good but S1 was much better. But that was gonna be hard to top. Steve and Hopper are great characters. Also the kid that played Will is a damn good actor for a little kid. Hell I'll binge it all again before S3 comes out. Gonna be interesting what they do going forward.

im glad to see Episode 7 getting roasted so bad online. Horrible, horrible TV that killed all the momentum the show had going. hopefully that convinces the Duffers to drop them altogether. really dont want this to become Xmen

7 was one of the most disappointing episodes I've ever seen. I hate filler episodes in general, but a filler episode in a 9 episode season when I'm probably going to have to wait 12-18 months for more?

If they use it to try to launch a spin off

i think that's what they were hoping for (they called it a quasi pilot in an interview). thankfully, it was an abject failure

literally got 2 pieces of information from it. Brenner is possibly alive, and she needs her anger to be fully powered, which we already knew from her past experiences. just horrible writing

I mean, it’s not as bad on an individual level, but it’s the equivalent of LOST’s notorious “Across the Sea” Episode. They left you on one hell of a cliffhanger where they killed half the characters, and then side track with a bunch of bullshite that has nothing to do with what happened last week and ruins the momentum of the episode we’re not placed elsewhere. It was a retarded move. No one wants to see 11 in Chicago when all that shite is happening.

Plus they just ripped that off from X-Men First Class.

Yeah for sure. I liked Season 2 overall, it just fell pretty far short of Season 1 for me. I think the show suffered from not having the kids interacting with Eleven. That was such a big part of Season 1. I also felt like they didn't flesh out several characters like I hoped.

I still can't believe Ted teaches at LSU

I was watching somebody from Screen Junkies talk about Episode 7, and they pretty much summed up my feelings. They were pointing out one of the best things about Stranger Things is you're popping around from one crazy situation or scene full of hijinks to the next. That's so much of the fun. And Episode 7 just killed that. It really suffered from staying in one place for the whole episode.

Absolutely. The scenes with 11 in season 1 were among my favorite, and it was just the opposite in season 2

Just finished s1 and S2 in a few days. I'll keep my thoughts to S2

1.) anyone who calls El "Jane" is a fricking a-hole. Looking at you JBeam

2.) I agree that the spinoff episode was sooo bad. They should've found a way to sprinkle all that throughout the season

3.) I think y'all are missing what Billy really is. Billy is totally a homo. Not that there is anything wrong with that. He's weirdly and agressively obsessed with Steve. Looked at him sideways in the showers and called him a pretty boy. Got the abusive dad who calls him a fig and so he's trying to compensate for his closeted feelings. Going after the unobtainable Nancys mom is a nice little beard story for him. His redemption arc will evolve around discovering who he really is and that is why he's such as a-hole.

4.) One plot thread they kind of dropped and ignored, was the fact that the thing they were fighting didn't like water. The demodogs ran away as soon as the sprinklers came on. So why didn't Bob just turn on all the damn sprinklers in the entire building so they could all easily escape?? And then they just kind of ignore what seems to be a major weapon against the monsters.

I could be wrong but I think he turned on the sprinklers in a nearby area to draw it away from the stairwell. But yeah, it would’ve been cool if he could’ve done a better job of luring them further away somehow.

I read an article on twitter about this yesterday. It's certainly a possibility. We just don't know enough about Billy at the moment.

If the demo's don't like water. Why didn't will react poorly when Mrs.Byer ran him a bath. The only thing Will said was "He likes the cold".
