Dustin/Steve was great.
Just finished. So I guess the upside down is still out there. I wondered if the demigorgon they stashed in the fridge has anything to do with the next season but probably not.
Poor Will. That kid has been through a lot of mental and physical shite. I get hot easily and almost started sweating during the heater/fire scene in the cabin.
RIP Bob

Have the Duffer Bros. been offered any big movies yet?

Lucas should have dated a fat white girl not Max.

Dustin was pretty obsessed with getting famous from the discovery of a new species. I don't think they showed them stuffing Demodog into the fridge for nothing.
Maybe Dustin makes this public knowledge a year later.

Do y'al think there is any significance to the song that was playing at the very end of the snow ball, when it flipped to the upside down and showed the shadow monster.

Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you"

Ok... during the Chicago episode they kept showing this neon sign in the background.. it was a sign for a psychic reading place and was in the shape of a hand.
I know it's from a movie.. I just can't place it..
Anyone?

I don’t think the demodog in the fridge is going to play a role in the next season. The Duffers don’t seem to make those type of huge plot mistakes. Like Dustin/Steve would forget they stashed one in the fridge and the Byers wouldn’t notice it? I think that scene was just there as another Dustin/Steve moment.
Steve is the fricking man btw. I like how the roles have flipped and he’s become the sympathetic good guy who doesn’t get the girl. Nancy messed up there.
Nancy and Mike really were fun in the last couple of episodes. Mike with the heads up move to tranq Will and straight going ham on Hopper, and Nancy with the heads up move to stick Will was so smart.
I like how the females are really strong in this show as well without it being shoved down our throats.
Dustin and Steve stole the season for me.

Dude that looked and sounded real when he went in on Hopper. I had moisture leaking from eyes.

I feel like I'm alone in my disappointment with the second season. Where the first season was an homage to 80s movies and had this endearing "Goonies" vibe, the second season was just blatantly derivative and contrived. I thought they went overboard with the 80s movies parallels in second season. When eleven is talking to her "sister" telling her to let her anger fuel her power might as well have been taken word for word from the Star Wars script...I mean come on...emperor palpatine much? And the demigorgons running rampant in a lab where the power is off and everyone is pretty much screwed, but of course this brand new character, Sean astin (who was lazily written into the show) can save the day because he is a RadioShack employee who knows how to reprogram highly advanced black ops government computer technology. That whole situation was so tropish it was hard to watch.. I felt like I was watching the raptor scene in Jurassic Park, but with shittier acting.

I really loved S2. For me its such a great reminder how simple the 80's were.
For the people trying to understand why Max & her brother were included into the season, or why a black kid takes to a red headed white girl, or how can a radio shack guy crack a government circuit board, chill the hell out. Not everything has to have some type of meaning. It's supposed to be a fun, nostalgic adventure

Did the demodogs grow out of Dart like Gremlins/Aliens or did they come out of the gate? What other 80s films would you liked referenced in season 3?
