I guess if it gets infinitely funnier, I could be convinced to continue, but out the gate, not much appeal

She's pretty much the same, but don't worry the rest of the cast kills it

Ok skipping to season 2

Season 1 is a complete rip off of the office and the show absolutely failed.

They retooled the characters and the show for season 2 and it gets much better.

I'm sure most posts in this thread always said to just skip to season 2.

It gets infinitly better. Season 1 is barely even the same show as the rest of the series

Her character changed from season 1 to season 2. They started off trying to make her like Michael Scott. They shifted in season 2 to making her much more competent at her job. Ron Swanson alone is worth watching every single episode, though. And the show really picks up once Rob Lowe and the guy who plays Amy's love interest join late in season 2. They become regulars for the duration of the show.

Season 1 was mostly shite because the focus was on her. Season 2, they branched out. Ron is better. Andy is better. Tom is better. They shine while they others support things really well.

Yeah, I remember my roommates watching the early episodes and I hated it. I give the writers/producers/cast a lot of credit for realizing it wasn't working and changing into something pretty damn good.
