RT has this bad boy at 14% right now.

Not sure if I'll give this a shot. I wonder how long until Hak Snyder blames someone else for his inability to tell a story or show any restraint.

"If you didn't like this, just wait for the director's cut, which this also was."

Snyder must have pissed off some important people in the film industry because his movies always seemed to get panned by the Hollywood press and access media

If he is getting paid double for the rated R versions of these movies, he might actually be a genius.

Snyder has a great eye for images and shoots action well (if you like slo-mo, which I do). He just sucks as a writer and editor. He'd be better off as a hired hand for popcorn action movies, just don't give him final cut and keep him away from the script.

Marvel films post End Game haven’t been much better and they don’t get panned as badly as Snyder films

I will agree with you on the script, but I’m more prone to think that the studios do a worse job with his cuts than he does. Watchmen, DoJ, and JL were all better director cuts. i feel like Army of the Dead was the only time he's been left alone. which is weird because that was a netflix production as well.

I didn’t like rebel moon one at all, but I felt like there was an interesting story somewhere in there. After listening to him on Rogan, I’m just going to wait until both of the Director cuts are out and give it a chance.

Snyder is a dork and can be a bit of a hack, but I do kinda like him.

ETA: also on Rogan he said that Netflix hacked this to death to make it PG13. They also said “make your R rated one as well.”

To be fair, every Snyder Director's cut I've seen has been significantly better than what the studio released.

A great way to stop getting your movies made is to make them bloated and then criticize the studios paying for it when they end up having to do your job for you. You can either make a good movie within prescribed parameters or you can run out of partners.

He's the filmmaking version of "Free Beer Tomorrow."

the fact that every single JL actor came back to film extra scenes for Snyder cut and they all universally hated Whedon and Hamada kinda makes it look like the studio had some shite parameters.

He really tried for some Man of Steel vibes in this one.

It is on Netflix, not in theaters.

Why would anyone care whether it is R or PG13?

I'll just wait for the directors cuts. The first was just a bad film, IMO.

I was never able to finish it.

I made it to the Asian lady vs spider lady fight and then just called it quits.

Oh but it will be better when he can do the Snyder cut. With f words and sex.

Because that’s what makes a good movie

This one is definitely better.

This one worked well because it’s basically one big battle the entire movie. And that’s kinda Snyders strong side. And the battle is very good and very epic. First half hour of the movie is stupid though. As expected.

It’s good for a Snyder movie. Nothing special though.

It is definitely better. This one isn’t going to change anyone’s mind though imo. If someone absolutely hated the first one, they’ll probably hate this one too. I personally liked the first one. It was ok. This one is a step above that. It’s bizarre to me how badly Snyder is putting movies together. The first one should have been all character back story and development. Not just for the main character, but the entire team. We didn’t get that until this one. I think Snyder just constantly bites off more than he can chew and it leaves us with disjointed stories that don’t fully make sense until the 100 hour cut releases lol. And that’s not how the business works.
