I like this show. Lucasfilm should have done a show like this a long time ago.

I tried to watch it, and I decided to stop it after the opening scene.

If they can’t get the opening scene right there’s no way the series is worth watching.

So 50 pirates are shaking down a captain of the ship to open a vault which they seem to be able to open with a blow torch in 30 seconds?

What’s the actual point of all the people waiting there for someone to open a door? You just ran three tunnel probes into the ship “oh, but I don’t wanna have to break down a door”?

Absolutely terrible as always.

People take things way too critically these days. It's goonies and pirates in space. It's fun mixed with some pretty decent action. I've enjoyed it.

Maybe next time dont expect too much realism from a Star Wars show.

Try out The Wire instead.

Jude Law as a live action Crimson Jack is pretty awesome. Crimson Jack was the villain in the first Marvel Star Wars comic after the movie adaptation. I am glad they are finally incorporating some of the old classic EU characters.

Don't hold your breath - they probably forgot he was in the comic.

Have enjoyed the unfolding mystery through 3 episodes. Overall, it’s fun.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a creature cameo from “Fuzzball” (the orange-ish winged flying fur creature in the cage) who was in the George Lucas/ILM produced Disneyworld 4D musical Captain EO starring Michael Jackson.

I initially thought the chubby elephant-ish alien Neel was another creature from Captain EO named Hooter but I quickly realized he was not.

So there was no way to introduce an inept pirate captain other than some ridiculous magnetically sealed vault blow torch scene?

Not to mention the cannon that only got one shot off….but it never shot until after the ship gets impaled & after dozens of pirates run through the tunnels?

One blast, then space jumping pirates on ropes are able to jump to the cannon, plant an explosive, and blow it up….again, after only getting one shot off and never firing again?

It’s dumb stuff like this, no passion for detail, just clock punching “sexy sells” John Woo have everyone dive when firing their weapon stupidity, CGI crap.

How about an opening scene that has the ship hidden behind a large asteroid and the pirates equipped a smaller asteroid with a propulsion motor and a team rides it into the ship jumping individually to blow the defense cannons and attached an anchor. Then the pirate ship can reveal itself pulling the ships together and then a plank (anchor plank pirates) for the crew to board the other ship through the hole the asteroid created. (Instead of kamikaze ‘the first 10 of you will be shot to death as soon as the door opens’)

Even if they wanted to do the Captain shakedown blow torch scene, they could’ve added a simple little dialogue of the captain getting frustrated, calling for the blow torch and the cutter saying “but that’s going to take most of the juice we have left, try roughing him up more” but the captain says “ Once that door is open, we’ll have plenty of fuel” and the scene could play as normal.

It’s then you realize that they attacked the ship that way because they were nearly out of resources while giving it more a pirate feel instead of “we’ll just call them pirates”.

Just wish there were people that would catch these little things.

PS: I would also have one of the pirates get burned when walking through the recently molten lava door’s edge, instead of just rubbing against it unfazed.

That’s an incredibly detailed critique that I can’t argue with. I just think you’re expecting something like Black Sails when this is more Muppet Treasure Island.

Im liking this show more each episode.

Neal is a great character.

Is nobody else watching this? I will usually hate watch even the shitty star wars shows. But this one is enjoyable.

Huh, I’m not caught up on Star Wars shows at all but I assume you mean the dathomir witch coven?

Unfortunately, no. That's not what he means. I truly wish it was.

It fired 6 times. There were also other cannons firing.

I've been playing the video game Star Wars Outlaws and just realized it has some of the same characters as this show

Is one of them Crimson Jack? The characters dont look alike but there is a theory that it could be a title, like the dread pirate roberts.

And i love that the droid is named SM33, like smee.

This show continues to get better.

Jude Law's acting is good, story is good, it looks good on screen.

It feels like Star Wars and it wont piss you off.

I watched the lastest episode and this show is great. It feels like Star Wars, and the plot is really good. Im really interested in how Jude Law is using the force of he’s not a Jedi. I can’t wait to see how it wraps up.
