Anyone catch it?

Vader is a badass. A lot of main story references, especially toward the end. A must for fans.

Yea, caught it.

Vader is awesome. Glad to see they brought Ahsoka back to be a full time character.

Watched it and it was good.

Like how it ties in some of what's happening between episodes 3 and 4.

I didn't realize season 2 had already started. I'll have to catch back up.

The season hasnt really started, they just showed the season 2 premier early for some reason. The rest of the season won't air until September.

Just one episode but it was a 42 minute double size episode.

It was a great primer. I'm excited about this little show and where they will go with it. It looks like Vader is looking for Obi Wan. There is an interesting story to tell there.

Just finished watching it. Definitely a great season premier. I loved seeing Vader in action (and how cool was it when he threw those walkers off of him?).

But with Vader sending another inquisitor after them, I doubt Vader ends up as a regular character this season. I'm guessing they have him in a middle episode or two, and then have him come back in the season finale.

Is it a foregone conclusion that Vader kills Ahsoka at some point?

I kind of feel like it is.

You would think that something is bound to happen to her considering she wasn't around helping Luke and the other rebels during the major battles of the rebellion.

I wish they wouldn't. I really like Ahsoka.

Does that also mean they'll kill of Kanan and Ezra too?

Hopefully they find a way to fit them all in.

They kind of have to... I'd get a bad taste in my mouth if there were other Jedis dicking around while Luke had to learn the art to take down the empire.

I think Kanan and Ezra not being around for the major events of the movies can be more easily explained than Ahsoka (although I've wondered if Kanan will make it out alive as well). Ahsoka was Anakin's Padawan, and had a special friendship with him. I just don't see her staying out of the effort to protect Anakin's son, and lone chance to stop the Emperor.

But with that said, I can definitely see them coming up with some sort of scenario where she doesn't die off. But I doubt I'll buy their scenario.

I hate seeing good characters die. How many years prior to A New Hope are these events occurring?

I think it really depends on how many years prior these events are occurring.

For one, the prophecy given to Ahsoka in the Clone Wars series about her only surviving if she left Anakin kinda plays into this.

I could see them coming up with something, although I fully expect Vader to kill Ahsoka...sadly.

I think it's like 5 or 6 years before A New Hope.

If it is 5-6 years, do you see them killing Ezra? He is pretty much a kid.

I kinda do want Ashoka and Ezra to not make it. I don't think they are good characters. I have little doubt that Kanan won't make and he probably should be but he's my favorite of the three. It's also highly rumored that some of the supporting cast will be biting the dust in the first anthology film.

As for this episode, it was freaking fantastic and I really couldn't have asked for more.

Yep, and that's why I'm not putting it in stone that I believe Ahsoka or Ezra die... this is on Disney.
