Star Wars “Hello there” meme still going on Emma Roberts Instagram post 3 years later

For those of you who are out of the loop, the meme comes from the dialogue between Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous in Revenge of the Sith. Obi-Wan jumps down behind Grievous and says “Hello there!” and Grievous replies “General Kenobi!” That one line of dialogue has become one of the more well known memes from the franchise. Whenever someone says “hello there” you’re supposed to reply with “General Kenobi!”
Well in December of 2018, actress Emma Roberts posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the caption “Hello there” and the comments are still going to this day. As of a few minutes ago, it’s got over 113,000 comments and 99% of them are “General Kenobi”. The last comment was about 3 hours ago
