A couple in front of me brought their 3 year old kid to the movie. She made her mom bring her to the bathroom twice. She had to go when Leia "died" and during flashback Luke.

First 7 movies were based around the Skywalkers and now Rey if the main character? Weren't both Skywalkers supposed to be the chosen one?
By making Rey the main character they can continue making more of these well after this one. It's all about more. Milk the cow dry.

I’m really coming to the conclusion that I hate this more than Attack of the Clones. Attack of the Clones is without question worse since it has no redeeming features whatsoever, but Lucas gave himself nothing to work with in the sequel (granted this is self inflicted, but still).
The Last Jedi had wonderful characters to work with and The Force Awakens ends on a note where there’s nowhere else to go but up given the set up. But any good parts just ride what TFA already set up, and then fails to execute other parts of where we left off. It should have been the Two Towers of Star Wars, but it was just bullshite.

Because I know it can never be that good again and I knew after listening to Abrams and Johnson for the past 4 years they did not want Luke Skywalker in their movies because he would overshadow every new character.

So I just finally watched after waiting for my buddies so we could watch it together.
What the frick?
I have so many goddamn conflicted feelings about this movie.
On its own in a vacuum, it's a pretty well made movie but shite it just didn't fee like a pure blood star wars movie.
There was a lot of SJW bullshite sprinkled everywhere.
frick them for sending Admiral Akbar out like a bitch. That should've been him making that sacrifice to destroy Snoke's ship, not a complete random purpled haired slut.
We have too many women making military decisions and that was pretty fricking evident in how they were going to flee to a nearby planet and hide like cowards while sacrificing a huge and very important weapon in the cruiser.
They gave Luke Skywalker an ending that was quite frankly beneath the character and the legend of it. frick no, he should've been on that planet going scorched earth on Kylo Ren if he couldn't turn him.
Snoke? He was one of the things that was being hyped up about this new trilogy with a lot of back story for him and they gave him such an anti-climatic death and quite frankly his character means very little now that he's not the ultimate boss in this trilogy.
They should've killed Leia instead of Luke. She honestly has no value whatsoever in this trilogy compared to Luke who could contribute a hell of a lot more.
Oh and frick them for making Rey's parents drunk nobodies. A great character like Rey deserves a hell of a lot more than that to flesh out her backstory.
Rose the asian is a completely worthless character and has no business in this movie.
I mean shite I was pretty well entertained but this movie just fell well short of the mark for a what a star wars movie should be.
