Saw the 10 pm showing last night, a few chuckles and an awkward silence as everyone left the movie theater.
This might of been the first Star Wars where I didn’t feel nothing after watching it.
I think that’s worse than anger.

I HATED when Yoda showed up. Not because it was a bad scene or anything but because it quickly reminded me how fricking cool Yoda was and how none of these new characters hold a candle to him

Snoke could've been an amazing character and they absolutely destroyed him with no explanation and no backstory as to how he has absolutely mastered the dark side far beyond Palpatine and Vader combined could ever have imagined and knew the whole history of the Sith and Jedi.
I mean what the frick.
Seriously, the end of Snoke was fricking horrendous. Who possibly thought that was a good idea?
Especially because leading up to the he was able to force choke and push from across the ship, command force lightening with his finger tip, force throw the saber at Rey, etc...
We have never got one second of a view of Ren's training from either Luke or Snoke.

They easily could have made it awesome with just a few tweaks; it felt like the writers were intentionally trying to piss off Star Wars fans.

The music for this movie was super bland
Hell, The best music in the movie was during the millennium falcon chase on the salt planet

What was obvious in this movie that no one is talking about:
Rey is the reincarnation of the chosen one. Anakin reborn. Sent to rebalance the Force against the rising darkness.
This explains the cave scene when see saw endless reflections of herself in sequence all acting in sequence. Her parents are “herself”.
This also explains why she is SOO strong in the force and why anakin’s light saber “woke her up”

It was pretty obvious to me - and yeah that’s how the chosen one works in this new paradigm. It also answers several questions about Rey and Ben.

Here's an idea:
When the blueray comes out someone fan edit the movie. Cut out all of Finn and Rose and BB8 and most of the useless resistance scenes.
The movie would be about an hour/hour and a half and it would go something like this:
Opening Space Battle
Death of Leia before the wicked witch flying scene, simply cut out all the rest of her scenes. They're meaningless anyway.
Rey and Luke on Island
Ren with Snoke and Hux
Snoke rebukes Ren
Ren and Rey telepathy
Rey and Luke training
Hux tracks down resistance
The truth of Luke and Kylo
Rey in the cave
Rey leaves the island
Rey confronts Ren
Snoke dies
Rey and Ren fight
Luke confronts Ren and cut out Luke's bullshite fade into the sunset.
Movie ends

All the real early attempt at spoilers pointed to the Avatar the Last Airbender type of storyline with that. Some with saying Luke was going to tell Rey that she was his father and explain the whole rebirth of the chosen one storyline.
I hated that whole idea. Glad that isn't what they went with and I hope it doesn't happen in 9. Actually I don't care what happens in 9 anymore thanks to 8.

The sequence of infinite reflections acting in order with her being her own parent alluded to this as well.

I'm so glad I have this thread.
Without you guys I'd be depressed for days with no outlet for my frustration.
Considering all the good reviews, and how much people were laughing in the theater I was in, I honestly left thinking something was wrong with me for not liking it.

It's possible that Snoke was mind manipulating her that whole time, like he did Ren. Because you clearly saw his shadow in that glass.
