Meh

-Too much comedy
-Rose makes Finn bearable
-No Snoke or KoR backstories
-Superman Leia
-Chewbacca was nothing more than useless comic relief
-As soon as Rose said "the worst place in the galaxy" I knew it would be rich people living it up.
-What was the point of Phasma? Such wasted potential, she coulda been so much more badass.

Some positives

-Red gaurds
-Yoda
-The snow planet with the red dirt was absolutely stunning
-I'm ok with the Luke storyline
-Kylo treating Hux like his bitch
-Antonio Banderas' character
-BB8

Also.... Of course there was culcha in the theater not far from me trying to be funny by yelling one liners for the whole theater to hear and talking loudly.

My straightforward review.

The Force Awakens was a wasted movie now. Snoke went out like a little bitch, Phasma was a wasted character, Rey's lineage is a non factor - its like Disney took everything interesting to the fans about TFA (very little) and shat on it.

Luke deserved better. He was highlight of movie for me but not the way he went out.

The least "Star Wars" of all SW movies so far. What have you done George? It was a non SW movie that had moments of SW every now and then.

Kylo Ren is an emo punk, watching the original trilogy Vader was a terrifying bad arse -Ren is a punk.

I thought the Empire was stupid, but the first order is run by a bunch of idiots ( This is the last resistance ship, but we cant catch up to them, and we can't send our tie fighters after them because we can't support them). Only matched by the shear dumb foolery of the resistance (Lets go to this abandoned base and leave Leia standing in front of the open doors until tie fighters come blazing in).

Oh yeah, lets recreate the hoth scene while we are at it.

I don't care about Poe, and wtf when it comes to Finn. And the whole gambling planet sucked.

R2, 3P0, and Chewbacca - its criminal what they've done to them.

What I liked:
Luke, Yoda, the throne room scene until Snoke is offed, and the red guards.

Right? I was thinking, Luke had time for a little Just For Men on his way here.

The Kylo shirtless scene was cringeworthy. I don't believe for one second that Ren would make a comment here. Why, with all that's going on, would she care that he doesn't have a shirt on?

And I don't give one flying flip about the people who cry SJW anytime there are multiple non-white males in a movie...I simply don't care what my characters look like as long as they are well developed.

That said, I did notice at one point that everyone on the bridge with Vice Admiral Holdo was a woman. Like every single person sitting at a computer. I thought that was a bit odd.

And now he's the leader of the First Order? Hell the resistance doesn't need to beat them. He's so unbalanced, immature, and pouty he'll be his own downfall. He's not cunning, clever, or intelligent to be an actual threat on a large scale like Snoke and Palpatine were.

Both of these storylines were laughable and pointless. If someone had just told Poe about the plan he wouldn't even have a role in the movie. The whole Finn and Rose story could have been cut from the movie and the overall plot would have been just the same.

Same could be said for Phasma, Snoke, and wasting Del Toro on a stupid stuttering role. Every theory I had read about who he was going to be was more interesting then what they did with him.

Johnson developing a new trilogy was exciting to me a couple days ago, now I'm praying they keep him as far away as possible.

I like that Rey isn’t someone important

The choices with the story are not something I have a problem with at all

Too many people in the cast, too many story threads, action scenes are just like the prequels in terms of shoving shite wherever you can. The humor is tone crushing like I’ve never seen. Shitty dialogue, shitty delivery

And lol at the OJ chase in space. Everyone just comes and goes

And yoda...Jesus, terrible. The whole theater laughed the second they saw him. How does a 37 year old puppet look 20x better?

I have a bit of an issue with the Luke showing up as a Force Ghost that wasn’t physically there: do Jedi Mind Tricks now work on droids? This may seem minor, but why could 3PO see him?

The problem with killing snoke is we don’t know enough about him to care about him or hate him

There’s no emotional impact. We never see the relationship between he and ren nor do we know who snoke is really so why should we care? Are those red guys the knights of ren? Who are they and what’s their story? Watching them carve those guys up was no doubt cool AF but there’s just nothing for me to care about.
