There is a gay male character in the Aftermath trilogy of books. I am about 100 pages into the second book and it has introduced his partner, so not sure how much more detail will come along.

While being a straight white male, I find this to be somewhat visually stimulating, the new EU is full of this sort of thing.
It's one of the reasons I couldn't make it through Chuck Wendig's aftermath trilogy. It has been a couple years, but one the main protagonists is a gay man, another protagonist ('Snap' Wexley from TFA) has a Lesbian aunt, and there's an interlude where Wendig switches to using gender neutral pronouns in references to the main character.
