*I'll* take the DVs, but if you're any fan of Star Wars, I think this is a cool project.
I'm just asking those who do DV to explain why. Some have, but most are just too butt hurt that I'm no fan of Disney SW and just can't let it go.
Probably still hurting for not getting in that last Galactic Starcruiser weekend.

That was well done and the kind of star wars i like. Getting the crystal for the second lightsaber he built is cool. I would watch him actually build it too.

Because it DOES suck, but stuff like this shows it doesn't have to, and how Disney (and other studios) use popular IPs to carry their current day MESSAGE. That's not speculation, that's been STATED by people like Filoni and Kennedy.

While it would be nice if fans like this were allowed to make shows/movies on Star Wars b/c they'd be 100x's better than the crap we have now, how is something like this able to stay on Youtube? Wouldn't this be full of copyright infringement?

IDK, but seems pretty far fetched that he'd (they, whoever) get hit if there's no licensing issue. And if he's getting paid, so what? It's due to his art. There are 1000's of YT channels which do similar.

That’s kind of what I’m asking since you’re supposedly a YouTube expert.
I have put my kids baseball and football games on YouTube for friends and family to watch and I’ll get hit with licensing issues b/c of a certain song playing from the game.
So how are these people making videos like this using the IP of something like Star Wars?
And I’m not complaining, I just don’t understand it. If their channels are going to profit from it, seems like Disney would want their cut.

Good one. I do enjoy it, but am far from any sort of expert. I'm guessing there are Law-Tubers who have fielded these sorts of questions already, notably Legal Mindset.
Songs are monitored super restrictively. It's easy for the algorithm to pick up on songs being played, even in the background. That's a music thing. Established 'big' channels to folks like you just posting for friends and family get tagged for it. My guess is that you can get around it 'maybe?' if you take it private and only invite who you want to see those vids.

Impressive power shown there by AI to craft that whole thing. Some weird disconnects and things here and there, but not overly distracting. Neat story

Watching it again, there are a couple of cuts which are awkward. Like when Luke is on the side of the cliff looking at the cave entrance and then the next scene he’s already just there.

That one specifically was bizarre. It also appeared like the cave changed sides of the rock in another shot before he goes in. Also the footstep sounds didnt sit right with me, they just felt fake
On the plus side, most of the scenery was beautiful and looked realistic. Story was interesting. Characters’ faces and voices were pretty close to the real actors.
