Happy Days, Two 1/2 Men, and I might get blasted for this one: MASH. After Henry Blake died the series could have ended and we would have been better off.

The Simpsons lost its comic mojo in the early 2000s. I still hold the opinion it’s the best satire ever produced for the small screen, the 90s version that is.

The Office for sure after Michael left.

Game of Thrones didn’t go on too long it just had an unfortunate final season of rushed writing.

I’m not “blasting”, because I’m in the minority, but I liked Potter and Winchester as characters much more than Burns and Blake. Neither of whom are believable as military officers much less surgeons. Also, the MASH finale is one of the best finales in TV history.

As much as I love Frasier, there is a noticeable drop in the last season. Not that it went for “too long”, it’s more like all the natural storylines had finished by then. There are some hilarious episodes of that season however. The one with Patrick Stewart and the Maris trilogy are classics.

I’ll also mention Modern Family. That show was really becoming a caricature of itself. It just has too much going on. It could’ve ended a couple of seasons earlier.

Scrubs original ending was perfect. No need to put out that garbage last season that was half final season half spin off.

It wasn't bad it just suffered because the Scrubs finale is one of the GOATs. It also suffered from including JD in the first half of the season and Turk being a main cast member . He just doesn't work without JD.

A show with just Cox teaching med students and the occasional guest appearance of the original cast is a solid show idea.

It got to be pretty good in the middle seasons. It should have ended a season earlier...that last one was stoooooopid.

The Witcher, since they decided to ignore 6 books and 15 short stories of lore, and an actor in Henry Cavill who was all in on being Geralt.

The Blacklist was interesting and fun for a couple seasons and then I gave up on it.

I think the X Files probably overstayed its cultural welcome by some years. It did have decent episodes lightly sprinkled in the last few seasons, but it could have done without them and ended around season 7ish.

Not exactly a "too long" situation in the same vein as others listed here, but Bloodline on Netflix should have been a one and done instead of dragging out two more seasons.

I would say by the time Mulder had left, and they had replaced him with an FBI agent who had black alien goo in his eyes, it had gone too far.

It was perfect in the original format, with 2 legit humans, one of whom wants to believe, investigating shite that doesn't make sense. Leave the mystery, don't fill in the blanks.

MASH- it was okay with Potter and Winchester, but it still lingered on a few seasons too long.

I forgive you for the M*A*S*H comment and won't DV you..LOL

To this day, the finale of M*A*S*H is the highest rated non-sports/non-news episode of all time with around 106 million viewers.
