Translation: Writers actually have to work on making a unique show interesting & smart, so screw it. Just crank out another formulaic cop action series and pimp for the Rings of Power some more.

The writers aren't vested in doing a quality show. Just because it's a lay up of a CONCEPT doesn't mean they don't have to work for it.
