I grew up in the sixties and seventies reading spiderman. Spiderman was Peter Parker and he wasn't black. Now I don't know when he became black in the comic books but if spiderman is black it's because of some sjw bullshite. Now I'll watch the movie and enjoy it but to pretend otherwise is either being deliberately dishonest or just plain dumb.

So, minor spoiler: In this movie, Spiderman is Peter Parker, and he isn't black. Spiderman is also Peter Parker, and he isn't black, either. Spiderman is also Spider-Man Noir, and he is black (and white).

Peter Parker is still 616 Spider-Man. Except for the year Doc Ock spent in his body.
