Yes...

BUT

An interesting tidbit - in the run "Spider-Men", before the Ultimate universe ended, Peter Parker was pulled into the Ultimate universe with a device made by Mysterio. He met Miles Morales when there - that's the first meeting between the two of them.

So multiverse + Mysterio does have some comic connectivity.

Jessica Alba as Invisible Woman was godawful in particular and I didn’t think much of their casting of Mr Fantastic or Doom either.

Doom is hard to tell because of the dialogue he's given. Not sure if the actor could pull that off or not.

Hard to imagine an actor that could REALLY do Doom justice. You'd have to chew scenery and spout absurd dialogue while coming across as so downright menacing that most people crap their pants.

Maybe Christoph Waltz? I see Rami Malek pop up a lot.

Waltz would be fun to watch in the role.

Then again, I thought the same thing about him as Blofeld but that was apparently bad writing.

probably discussed earlier in the thread, but anyone else think x-men/fantastic four will be introduced somehow through this alternate dimension storyline?

I don’t see them going back to NYC given the events of every Avenger movie and Civil War.

An attack on The Avengers would cause death of millions.

I also don’t see Spider-Man as a given, from a meta/storyteller standpoint, but I’m all in on Spidey doing exactly what he does in the comics, link the universe together.

I don’t see Danvers, Panther or Strange having enough “free time” to be Avengers full time...but they could form the eventual Illuminati/Infinity Watch.

HQ being rebuilt is more likely...and maybe RDJ as AI Tony/Iron Men.

He definitely gets a free pass on Spectre.

Between the backstory and the dialogue, there's only so much he could do and he at least gave it some effort.

If the 2018 Stones are reduced to atoms, or if the energy given from the 4 snaps(Thanos x2, Hulk, Tony) can generate latent mutant genes, yes.

The F4 is a little different, but when Steve makes a new timeline, the F4 could happen as the”first family”
Or other ways lol.

This is all leading to Kang and Secret Wars.

I hope not. It's really unnecessary. You're adding a layer to their origin stories that really isn't needed.

They've been adding aliens and magicians without missing a beat. They can bring in mutants without a problem. Fantastic Four is just four humans. Not sure why you have to explain anything with them.

I’ve always seen the F4 as a “Lost in Space” type mission, that may have happened before Nick Fury’s Really Bad Week.(and hey Star Lord’s Zune came from somewhere, right?)

But the F4 is so perfect in Disney's hands they’ll be written in accordingly.

Mysterios is actually a scary villian. He was once able to trick Wolverine into killing all of the X-Men.

How hilarious would it be for Marvel to sign Evans to reprise his role as Johnny?

Nope has to be a black actor now. They made him black he has to stay that way just like they made Iceman gay so there is no undoing gayness or blackness otherwise prepare to be call bigots and racist. Or a phobe.

I'm just bummed how bad I missed on the multiverse theory in the Endgame thread.

It kind of gives them an out for the inevitable “where the x men during the IW???” question

That was in Old Man Logan, which is a weird territory with regards to continuity.

It was originally a kind of “elseworlds” title before it became canon in the wake of the giant universe shakeup.

I think his biggest play before that was attempting to get Daredevil to kill an innocent child through an attempted mindfrick, then blowing his brains out when that failed because he was suffering from terminal cancer and had wanted a super to kill him.

Just for shits and giggles, I’d love to see someone try to replace Black Panther or Falcon with a white guy.

Because most white characters have gotten an affirmative action legacy at this point, so turnaround is fair play.

Can't remember Falcon off hand but for sure BLack Panther was replaced by a white guy, HUlk best friend Rick Jones to be exact. It didnt last long because of the white washing.

One a character goes black or turn gay there is no reversal. Like MJ from SPiderman, she is suppose to be red head and green eyed white girl. MJ is now black and will remain black from now on, that is the new cannon.

I am talking about comic book characters not classics literature.

Wouldn't Strange be the logical choice then? He's the closest to Tony as far as intelligence/attitude.

Strange would work but Black Panther would too. The animated shows have basically made him like a leader or third leader behing Cap/Tony.

You could have Shuri take over as Queen of Wakanda while Tchalla takes a leave of absence to run the Avengers.

Kingpin was black in the Daredevil movie but white in the Netflix show smh.

The Netflix version is considered better.
