Eh maybe. But people got tired of Spidey always having help and always seemed to be too ingrained in the MCU instead of just being around sometimes like in the comics and mostly dealing with threats and struggles on his own.

People wanted a more grounded Spidey. Might not have been the best way but this is as close to Tobey’s Spidey, which is way more comic accurate as far as struggling in Peter’s personal life with relationships and finances while juggling being Spider Man. Being Spider Man is all Tobey’s Peter really had going for him and you can say that same thing for Tom’s character now. Character has always been the most intriguing when he’s broke as shite and down on his luck. An underdog

I agree but the path to get to this point has been a bit ridiculous. I enjoy the more grounded and depressed Spidey, Marvel realized they have to circle back to that point but I just have an issue with the actual execution. Honestly, I don't think the Holland films touch Tobey's and maybe not even Garfield's but that's a totally different discussion.

with the REAL Hulk. Not the watered down Infinity War/end Game version

Supposed to be getting a Savage Hulk in this movie.

The problem with NWH is it just reminds me how much I'd prefer Andrew Spidey stories.

I just hope they turn him into a serious superhero and get away from this whole comic relief bullshite. The Spider-Man in the boxes in my closet was a powerful character.

You want the movie to get away from an absolutely integral piece of every successful version of Spider-Man (in both movies and comics)?

Powerful does not require humorless. Are the comics in your closet exclusively from the worst Spider-Man arcs in its entire history? Or from when Otto inhabited Peter's body, maybe?

When will they introduce him to Ironheart (whatever her name is) to build him new technology in her storage unit?

Let me rephrase

Humor was always an endearing part of Spider Man. What I meant was being a side kick to Iron Man and constantly screwing up or being out classed by other heros around him. My Spider man is mid 80’s era.

There's some discussion about the woman in the bus with white hair.

Speculation has included the possibility of it being Rogue. It isn't a silly speculation when Jean Grey is in the movie but a possibility that I like better would be that's a covert reference to Silver Sable. She is tied to Spiderman, Punisher, and Daredevil and therefore fits into the Spiderman universe more neatly than Rogue

I haven’t thought about Silver Sable in a long time. That would be a good add IMO.

EDIT: just did a quick refresh on Silver Sable and has ties to Spider Man, Punisher, Captain America AND Dr. Doom. She could be a very interesting character addition.
