Saw it today. I was mostly entertained. Florence Pugh and Mark Ruffalo were easily the worst parts of the movie. Ending dragged on a bit. My biggest issue is the Jean Grey's part seems like it was written for Scarlett Witch. I've never seen her presented as a full on villain except in her Phoenix form. Sadie Sink was much better than Sofie Turner but that's not saying much. Famke Janssen is still better. I thought this was Tom Holland's best performance as Spiderman. Punisher was good too.

Pugh and the lady cop could be totally eliminated from the movie and it wouldn’t make any difference.

Seeing Savage Hulk again was past due. But they really have messed up the professor Hulk narrative that they had set out from before. At first they said Banner and the Big Guy had a “understanding“ but never really went into that. Now he shows up with us inhibitor… That doesn’t seem something like the big guy would agree to, plus he wasn’t wearing it as Professor Hulk. They really screwed up the entire narrative just to appease pussy Mark Ruffalo.

I thought Elena trying to call Spider-Man ‘small potatoes’ was kinda funny until I realized it was him, not Peter , who literally went into space and fought Thanos on a different freaking world! You don’t go big potatoes any more than that, and what the hell is a non-superpowered human like Elena going to be against real threats? She’s the B team Black Widow, who herself was at best a covert spy, not a S tier superhero.

Nobody remembers PETER PARKER. Spiderman is as he always was, known to the public.

Maybe I misinterpreted that because I thought people weren’t pissed about him being framed for killing Mysterio because their minds where wiped blank of everything that had to do with Spiderman. Maybe they just forgave and moved on.

Mysterio revealed to the world that Peter was Spider-Man. That was the basis of the trouble at the start of No Way Home. The infamy of being Spider-Man alone was bad enough, but to be framed for the murder (?) of Mysterio was impacting Aunt May as well as his friends. Anyone connected to Peter was having their lives ruined.
That's why he asked Doctor Strange to make the world forget Peter Parker. So no one could tie his friends or family to him.

That’s the trouble with magic. First spell was to make people forget Peter was Spider-Man. The second spell, to fix it all was to make people forget Peter Parker ever existed.

I'm not sure what happened. Because everyone hates spiderman in the last movie. Need and my got denied a whole bunch of colleges for knowing Spiderman. But then they know he rescued them?
It is confusing. Though Ned seemed to remember him at the very end.

Yeah that’s where I’m getting at. Everyone hated Spiderman AND also knew he was Peter Parker. So just eliminating the Peter Parker knowledge would not keep the people from hating Spiderman. They would just remember that he killed Mysterio.

That actually did piss me off. Trying to downplay Spider-Man and make him get in the bath? Spider-Man would wipe the floor with Elena.

I'm not sure y'all understand that scene. She wasn't saying he was small potatoes, she was saying his problem was small potatoes. And depending on what when that scene takes place she could be dealing with the space issue mentioned in Thunderbolts which was probably an incursion
