What little I will accomplish in regard to Sony is giving them less money than they would have otherwise gotten. It isn't much, but they clearly don't want it. I don't have some delusions that my personal decisions will have any major impact on them. But I also know I'm not alone.

the whole point of including it is so that it's noticed, which goes for literally every second of video there. It's a fricking animated movie, which means EVERY BIT of it was hand crafted and placed there. It's not some accidental random thing caught in camera that no one caught until the movie came out.

Well we’re not because we very rarely make anything political on the fricking movie and tv board and even if there are political undertones in whatever series or movie we watch, we don’t discuss it for 20 pages. We make note of it and move on, even if we disagree with it. It doesn’t disrupt our entire existence. We realize it’s simply not that big of a deal.
We simply want the discussion of movies and tv to be about the discussion of movies and TV and not the political machinations, real or imagined, behind them.

Right now it's a quarter of a second of video, but if it's more than a quick glimpse in the actual film, you can imagine any reason that you'd like until the actual animators tell us. Could be that they want to show Gwen as a caring teenage girl who gravitates to the popular social cause of the day (as so many do). Or it's the deviant Left coming after your innocent children. Or a million variations between those two poles.
"If it's not going to be noticed, why was it inserted?" is a question with a million answers when it comes to animation. You have everything from the subliminal porn in The Rescuers to Pixar intertwining their universes through Easter eggs throughout their films. Animators love to put "hidden" messages and images that they assume will have to be pointed out later.

It's the attempt to normalize the pushing of a dysphoric condition onto children (who aren't mentally/emotionally ready for that topic) through incrementalism. Some of this is done by adults who are genuinely of the opinion that children are old enough to make decisions on topics they've yet to contemplate.
Some of this is done by adults because they are pedophiles looking to groom children into being more sexual.
