Post COVID they only made around 10 episodes the entire time he was on office. Almost all of them making fun of the COVID response

I’ve thought the same thing. It’s not even the topics that the show addresses (don’t care about any of that). The writing just seems off and doesn’t match up with what Matt and Trey were the masters of to begin with.

same problem as SNL. once comedy becomes politically one-sided, it's all over.

I hadn't ever considered this until now. The last season just did not feel like South Park. I say that they are probably still writing...but they do have a team of writers that help, and that's been that way for a while. It could be that they are relying more heavily on them.

The Trump jokes were funnier when it was Mr Garrison with a spray tan and wig. The Saddam imitation Trump from last season and Satan being pregnant was pretty lame. The only really funny political stuff they did last season was Kristi Noem shooting dogs

That was hilarious, probably their last great season. Loved PC principal, Trump, Kaitlyn Jenner as VP running over everybody. Jimmy and Nathan with the AI ads. All great stuff.
