You don't remember Garrison (at this point symbolically representing trump) reading off a laundry list of reasons he shouldnt be running for office?
Easy target? Sure, the thing is about SP, they go after all targets, even the low-hanging fruit. In the same episode they still found a way to reference the clock-kid, bruce jenner, immigrants, and the call to prayer. You can't dismiss what they do because it was easy to go after.

I'm hoping they end this season with a GOAT episode. I said that. But they probably won't.
And even if they do it will not qualify because of your unreal high standards for what they should or shouldnt be doing so you will let the episode pass you by.
It must suck knowing that you are so bent on panning Trey and Matt that you are not enjoying to this day one of the best satire television shows of all time.

You saying that doesn't mean shite when you always add shite like:

But they probably won't.
You're expecting them to not. Therefore, even if they air a fantastic wrap-up to all of the things they're building up to, you won't accept it as fantastic because you've already convinced yourself that they're not going to deliver.
At this point, they could let you write an episode about whatever you wanted to, and you'd still complain about it.

Oh really? I saw you shut the hell up after I showed you that all your favorite episodes were made in 6 days.
And you don't understand basic concepts of trends. "Downslide" implies that there is a downward trend. According to you, there have been two good episodes and one bad. That's not a "downslide" as you say. I could graph it out for you, but you'd probably be lost.

It's cute that you guys are comparing the setup in Southpark to gentrified parts in your area...like this is the first time you've ever even thought about this...

It's about as cute as them comparing Garrison to Trump, because that's the first time any of us ever heard of him...

I want to say that I have LOVED the first two episodes. I feel this could be their best season yet. I have rewatched the laat two seasons multiple times. South Park is my go to show when I am doing late night feedings for my son.
But man this episode sucked. It sucked so badly. It felt like they were just using this episode to set up more stuff later and just tossed in a few jokes on the last day. Maybe in the grand scheme of things this episode will be great, but as a stand-alone episode I will argue that it could very well be their worst yet.

Better than the entirety of last season.

I am not letting one bad episode ruin the young season for me. They are building toward something big. I trust Matt and Trey. They seem like they make South Park to amuse themselves moreso than to amuse others. It just so happens what they find to be funny is funny to A LOT of other people.

I'm really hoping South Park goes after the media on their glorification of serial killers this past year. The number of attempted mass murders in this country has now gone to fever pitch, and I just don't think they all got together and decided to make this the year to do it.

What if all the SJWs are together somewhere and Cartman kills them all?
That would be the GOAT ending to this season.

I liked the episode.
It really hit home with me though because my wife is involved in a similar project in Bossier City and all those buildings around Kenny's house look just like the designs.
I'm pretty sure Shreveport even has downtown buildings turned into condos called the Lofts and the Residences.
I'm not sure yet if having all this continuity is a positive or not. Good episode. I even kept it in the DVR for later viewing.

I'm in a somewhat similar position as you. I loved Cock Magic (likely the gayest thing I've ever typed), but I didn't think last season was great. I'm also surprised that the reception to this season has been this positive (although I'm happy to see it).
My issue with last season was the subject matter wasn't particularly appealing to me. While I hate SJW's and want to seem them destroyed, I haven't enjoyed this season as much. Their hatred is clear in this season, and it's affecting the quality of the episodes, in my opinion.
I do think they're going to end this season with an all time great or a disappointment. I'm leaning towards a great episode, but I'm not super confident about that. There just has to be some giant middle finger to SJW's at the end of this. Has to.
I will say I'm not sure I agree with you about them being tired of making this show and about the fact that they plan to go out with a whimper. I saw that interview (or a similar one), and it didn't seem like they were being serious. I remember the commentary about the Indiana Jones rape episode included them discussing how they worry about declining quality (i.e. Lucas and Spielberg raping Indiana). They then said something about how they'll 'kiss and fondle the boys' but stop short of 'molesting' them.

I really liked the episode. I definitely currently live in a sodasopa area in Dallas, and have a nice apartment completely in the middle of the ghetto. Got two months off rent though, so I think it was worth living at the Villas at Kenny's House. Maybe I liked it because I definitely identify with it, but I found this to be one of the better episodes in quite a while.
