You know the difference between a civil suit and a criminal suit? Trump wasn’t going to win a civil suit on the basis that the doctored 60 Minute interview hampered him winning an election…. That he won…

Have they done one in over a decade? Legit don't remember if they've really done one since the Muhammad episodes in season 14.
So he's kind of proving your point.

man, if you think shortening a rambling answer to make it shorter for time or to form a coherent answer = election interference, do I have some bad news for you about fox news
that PSA was nuts, and will almost assuredly be a perfect example of the streisand effect in real time

Not even my point. I don't think anyone would argue that South Park at one point in time wouldn't take great shots at everyone. I think the point the other poster is trying to make is that they've by and large recently, just done the same safe trope. But yea, making an argument around something they haven't done in that long of a time is pretty much the point at hand.

frick them. I'm glad they got called out and were forced to pay.

one you will ignore bc cnn but you can look elsewhere yourself
another
particularly timely one
that's just some of the first page of a google search. that's all the time I will spend, especially since it will be explained away, anyway. but that's probably more a PT topic and I don't want to derail this thread
Matt and Trey seriously give no fricks

That's a completely different question.
Regardless, South Park has an almost 30 year track record of going after EVERYBODY. It's childish to complain they didn't go after x because they went after y, who happens to be on your team.
And for the record, I think Trump is great and went to Catholic schools all my life.

They did more than just shorten an answer. That's a lie.
If the others think they have a case against Fox, let them bring it.

Are you talking about me?
I was replying to a poster that seemed to believe they've never gone after Islam. You know that's factually incorrect.
You guys aren't even acting childish at this point, you're acting like babies.

Not really, it is very much related.

You not see how the previous question is related? If they've not done something in well over a decade, yet consistently use the same core jokes in this episode that they've done since 2016, wouldn't that just be going for the low hanging fruit?
Again, I didn't hate the episode by any means. If it was a one off, great. If it is going to be another Trump centric season, I'm going to be disappointed. They've done that ad nauseam.

Felt like a first for me. The other episodes were just Mr. Garrison in orange face.

That's fine
I'm also hoping they start moving away from the PC stuff. I think it has run its course too.

Yes, because Trump has never shown a tendency towards retaliation against media that criticizes him.

Questioning that they'd ever do a show about Islam is a question that's already been answered.
Questioning if they've done a show about Islam in the last two decades is a question I don't immediately know how to answer.
Do you see the difference?

I don't really take issue with this, but I also think Islam might be the lowest possible hanging fruit that there is.
I think we may be talking past each other.
