I think Breesus has some legit gripes about the show. While I enjoyed some episodes last season...the show itself has dropped in overall quality a bit since their prime.
I think they can definitely still nail an episode or two a season however more often than not I feel like the show lately does miss.
I love episodes like
Fun Times with Weapons
Casa Bonita
Tsst
Scott Tenorman Must Die
The Coon Saga
Two Days before the Day After Tomorrow
Manbearpig
Make Love not Warcraft
The Return of Chef
Ginger Kids
Le Petit Tourette
Night of the Living Homeless
With Apologies to Jesse Jackson
All about the Mormons
Cartman Sucks
The Death of Eric Cartman
Awesome-o
The Return of the Fellowship of the Two Towers
To name a few...do I think any of last seasons episodes match up with some of these...I would be lying if I said yes. Some of these episodes had me literally crying and grasping for air.
The best laugh I got last year was Cock Magic.
I think they can definitely still nail an episode or two a season however more often than not I feel like the show lately does miss.

Not to sound like an a-hole, but no shite. A show's "prime" is when it's at its best. So of course the show isn't gonna be as good as it was when it was at its best. But it's still a great show, and more entertaining than most other shite on TV. And it's been that way for two decades now...I feel like a show that's been on this long has sort of earned the right to dip in quality a bit here and there.
And I thought last season was pretty solid. There were some misses for sure, and the setup was a little different with how the episodes had some continuity to them and they built upon one another a little bit. But overall it's not like it was just a horrible season. shite, the one scene with Randy showing Stan how he makes his Lorde music is one of the GOAT scenes in the entire series IMO.

Here is my deal with South Park - Each time I watch an episode for the first time, I rarely think "That episode was awesome!" or "That was a classic episode!"
But as I watch them a 2nd time, a 3rd time, they always grow on me.
There are episodes I thought were "meh" the first time, but great after viewing them again and multiple times.

This is how I feel. The first time I watch them I'm like meh, it was okay. But when I go back and re watch they get better and better.

I thought the Hawaii episode was the worst one they've ever done when it first aired. I watched it again last week and could not stop laughing.

Looks like another current events satire episode. That is when South Park is at its best. Looking forward to it.
