I didn’t watch much tv in my earlier life, so recently I finished Breaking Bad, The Wire and The Sopranos. I seem to like shows that feature mobsters, gangs, and drug dealers. I was trying to find something else to watch and I remembered that Sons of Anarchy used to be extremely popular….
I gave it two seasons and HOLE E shite this is the worst show that I’ve ever seen. Not only is it acted terribly but the plot lines and writing are even worse. How did this show gain such a following? It’s the corniest show that is supposed to be taken seriously that I’ve ever seen. I thought I could power my way through it but no way. Just terrible.

Don't know if you realize it, but SOA is modeled after Hamlet.
Jax=Hamlet (Prince of Charming, CA...Prince Charming!)

Besides, I got to look at Charlie Hunnam while watching this show!

I thought the first 4-5 seasons were really good (except the crap season 3 where they were in Ireland), but the last couple seasons I agree were fricking ridiculous. The plot wasn't very good, just nonstop killings (which were cool though) that didn't make sense.
It was a decent enough show that I enjoyed watching. The start was good but yeah, the last 2-3 seasons were kind of a mess.

It sucked me in at first. I stopped when when the dude was about to marry a porn hooker and reality hit me. I was like why the frick am I watching this? Tried going back to it later but after getting out of it I could never get back into the preposterousness of it. It’s so unbelievable

If you thought that season 1 and 2 were bad( and they were), you should have seen the stupid shite that went down in Ireland in season 3.
Kurt Sutter is a hack, but he seems to think that he's some kind of genius for writing this shite.

Season 2 was great, except for the finale. Then season 3 starts with the Ireland kidnappers and a respectable nurse going along with murdering of a house cleaner. Quit watching it until the last season. Watched all of that last season. Have no desire to see anything I missed, except for , maybe, seeing how they introduced Walton Goggins' Venus Van Dam character.

So you start with 3 of what many might put in their top 10 series of all time and are surprised that SoA didn’t match up?
If you get drinks, appetizers and a steak at the best restaurant in town and follow it up with a DQ Blizzard, you’re going to be disappointed.
