I think Opie wanted to see if jax was willing to sacrifice himself or was he going to be like clay and have his own killed to save his own arse. Once he saw that he was ok sacrificing himself

Back in Charming. Where everyone else isn't at the moment.

Like I said, there was a pretty good quip about them between Jax and Pope tonight. I'm also assuming they don't want to wrap that story up that quickly. They're fairly insignificant compared to what they were covering. I would've much rather seen the things we saw tonight then them breaking into another house (they certainly weren't going to wrap it up).

I see what you're saying tebow. It's annoying when they put a storyline on pause, but sometimes you need to.
I agree with the Opie thing. I think they were either gonna kill him or he was done with the club, and to be honest, I'm glad he went down in a blaze of glory.
RIP Ope.

That was by far the hardest moment of the series to watch. Opie went out in a bad way.

Gotta disagree. That was a thousand times easier to watch than a father watching his daughter burned to death.

watching jax watch ope was worse since the viewer had no connection with the daughter IMO
normally yes but she was a irrelevant character
kinda like how it wasnt heartbreaking watching popes daughter get run over

It was different. You felt for Tig. This time, you felt for Jax AND Ope. And the club.

The scenario is much worse....but tonight's scene was better executed imo. It felt more real.....Tig didn't pull off the burn scene as well. Jax was way more convincing when his kid was kidnapped than Tig during the burn scene.

We must be living parallel lives. You are the LSU version of me, and I the Bama version of you....freaky.

we are each others doblegangers ( just guessing you watch HIMYM since i do)
Posted on 9/25/12 at 11:23 pm to Marciano1
So Opie was jax's Ophelia. Opie sacrificed himself (suicide) and is what pushes jax over the edge.

Haha. Yeah I do watch HIMYM.

I'm guessing none of the 3 that replied have daughters. It really changes things IMO. Before having my girls, I'd side with all of you.

Im not disagreeing with you in the stand point of that being horrible and hard to watch. I just think for this show that Ope was alot different because the daughter was a non character
i understand what you are saying and that it horrible but it was pretty much like watching the main character lose his brother that was also a main character.
not trying to change your ways because i respect them just saying

I have a 4 month old daughter. The Tig scene didn't really get me because as I said before, I don't think Tig nailed the part.
However, watching Sean Penn in Mystic River.....that's another story. So much tougher to even think about that scene now after having a child (especially a daughter). Something I don't even wanna think about.....

I have no doubt in my mind that is the case. It was a hard scene to watch for sure. I don't normally react out loud to a show, but I started freaking when he had Tig's daughter. Same with Ope tonight.
