Sons of Anarchy makes me want to break my TV

Spoilers through season 3
Love the show, but I've never been more frustrated with the dumb choices of TV characters in my life.
They had Zobelle, the guy that raped the matriarch of the club, cornered and they just let him go because Jax's son gets kidnapped (that wasn't a 20 man job to chase the Irish guy's boat assholes; you couldn't have left 2 guys to fricking deal with Zobelle???). Then they let Jimmy the arms dealer go probably about 50 god damn times. And if that wasn't enough after they go through hell in Ireland to get that kid back, Jax has a change of heart all of the sudden because some a-hole starts playing guitar in the background so he lets the kid go with the adoptive parents. What. The. frick.

Lots of moments like that, but for some reason I still loved the show no matter how flawed it got.

the initial motivation of the club was to protect the quaint little town that was Charming
hell season 2 i think had a bad guy that was bad b/c he wanted to develop Charming

Yeah, I stopped after season 4. It was just too much soap opera crap. I really liked the first few seasons, though.

I liked how a guy could straight murder the hell out of some people, even rival gangbangers, but it would all just melt away and be cool if he left town for a weekend or two.

Them letting Zobelle go always bothered me. I kept thinking they'd have to get back to him later on, but turns out I was giving Kurt Sutter too much credit, lol...but really, I lost count of how many "out of sight, out of mind" blunders were on SOA. By the last two seasons, I was pretty much just watching it for the lulz...

What really changed my opinion of the club was that their plan to finally get out of running coke for the cartel was to hand off the business to the Mayans. SAMCRO is supposed to be this badass top of the MC food chain gang, but the first time they actually get into real high level criminal activity, they can't handle it. Their answer is to offer that business to another MC, who are just like, "sure, that sounds great!"
