Did Tara read the letters? Does she know? Any other way it comes back on Gemma?
Yes, she is using it as leverage so she can get Jax out of Charming if Gemma tries to convince him to stay. It will be a battle for Jax's soul between Tara & Gemma after Clay is dead
And Tig loves Clay a little too much

Also, is Romeo a Fed? What's with him saying Otto didn't flip when we saw Otto flip?
I'm starting to think maybe Potter isn't who he says he is. They have built him up as sort of a mystery. Would explain why Romeo's intel has no clue what is about to go down

Romeo's crew has no idea whats about to go down becuase Otto didnt give up where the meet was... that was Juice.

I don't think they were worried that Otto knew about the meet, but that he sold someone out who did know about the meet (Bobby). I suppose that still wouldn't come back on them if Romeo's informant told them that neither Otto nor Bobby had ratted about the meet, and failed to check on information about Juice.
I agree about Potter. There's something there, but couldn't for the life of me tell you what it is. I think I hate him more than I did Stahl. Stahl was a bitch and didn't wanna hide it. Potter's so smug, even to those helping him.

The problem with SOA, and its been evident since the beginning, is that Sutter is a downright lazy writer. He continually creates scenes that play out and then fade away without repercussions. In last night's episode the club is involved in a shootout on a California highway with literally hundreds of eyewitnesses and yet when they return to the club its like nothing had happened. IRL there would have been three SWAT teams surrounding their compound within the hour. This kind of BS has been a mainstay with this show.
The whole "where's Bobby" thing is equally ridiculous. He wasn't picked up and sent to prison in Venezuela. He's in a U.S. jail where he has the right to legal council which would have put him on a phone within minutes of being arrested. Not to mention he would have wanted to let the club know Otto had rolled on them. None of that is playing out true to life.
And why ID Clays shooters as black? You would think they would want to provide as little detail as possible for the police to follow up on. But Sutter needed to create a scene and this was a way to do it regardless of how dumb it was.
I'm watching to see how this all plays out and overall the plot is solid but damn if the writing doesn't provide a "WTF" scene every week.

Couldn't agree more JayQuest. Just so over the top. There's a shootout on the highway, a girl is run over and well they just show back up at the club like nothing ever happened. Then you have Gemma who seems to change her damn mind every 2 seconds on what should happen to Clay.
I thought it was extremely cheesy how they all sat around saying, "Clay must die." And then Tara says this is how you do it.
They screwed up by bringing this Clay should die scenario into the show way too early. For 4-5 episodes we have been waiting for the climatic ending and well now it's been dragged on far too long.

You're right. That scene was almost laughable.
"I want to start a new life with you Jax but before we do I think you should go and commit felony murder and I'll wait her with fingers crossed so you won't get caught. Because I really want to get away from this destructive life but only after our last conspiratorial murder together."

I'm still laughing at the black ops shoot out with the other cartel and the rocket launchers and mine fields and shite.

This show is what it is...an action with a little drama that FX does well with (think the Shield). I enjoy it for what it is, but it's not in the same league as Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, The Wire, etc.

Agreed. I checked out when Juice tried to hang himself and the branch broke. How trite was that while being unneccessary.
I still watch but with much less anticipation than I had before.

After seeing that, all I could do was disgustedly say, "Jesus Christ". And then I walked off, swinging my arms like George Jefferson.

how about the 2-3 ambushes that David Acevedo set up with his special forces training where they all hide behind a tree or in a born in one big huddle then the other cartel shockingly is able to outgun them and get away.

I hope next weeks episode finishes alot of the "WTF" plots and starts fresh and simple next season.

Yeah, that guy was supposed to be some kind of an ex-military intelligence big shot. The barn strategy was the best.

Awesome first part of the series finale IMO

I completely agree with you on what you said. That is keeping this "very good" show from being "great."
It is still entertaining, so I'll continue to watch and not analyze it too much.

SEVERAL instances like this. All the shootings, and they are rarely investigated or taken in. Jax stole a hearse and then a MC in the last episode, fired an illegal gun in a park at a van (which his fiance was in), Bobby and Tig shot the porn director in the last episode and they were never questioned although it was clear the club was to blame. I could go on and on.

This is getting rediculous. I need SOME realism in my TV. I'm ready for True Blood to start back up.......

I always thought if they "closed" the holes, the show could be so much better. That being said, (I just had a chance to watch it;DVR.) I think Tara will make sure she stays one step ahead of Gemma and this will drag into next season.

could be easily explained with either...
- Romeo knows otto flipped and is pissed so he setting up samcro.
- potter has a tight lid on the info and romeo's contact doesn't know crap
