Paul Blart cost $26 million to make. Worldwide gross was $183 million.

it's actually kind of surprising that it took as long as it did to make a sequel with how well the first one did financially.

The first one was arguably a drama.

It was so sad and unfunny to watch the character interact and his life was so depressing it was actually a well done drama/thriller detailing the sad shitty life of the most depressing man alive and his struggle against depression and eternal loneliness.

The first one was a meh slapstick comedy. The sequel looks like it literally carbon-copies it.

Same with Christmas Story 2. I caught a glimpse and it was the same fricking movie with a car replacing the gun.

I thought the first one was decent.
Although my expectations were very, very low.

However, I am mad at that movie for overshadowing the far superior and tragically underrated Observe & Report, which came out at the same time.

A movie with humor that dark was never going to be big. That said, I thought there were some pretty funny (though very uncomfortable) moments.

I just figured there are only so many "goof ball mall cop" angles out there. And didn't Seth Rogan make something like this after the first Paul Blart came out?

I are lunch at Applebee's Wednesday and I went to Walmart today. Guess I meet the requirements to see this movie.

Kevin James is an American comedian

If being fat and falling on your face at all times counts as being a comedian, then it has just become a sad art.

Kevin James is one of the best guys in Hollywood. Only reason why I'd see it.
